Hyojin was always up for a bit of late night fun. There was something more thrilling about the dark, a sense of danger and excitement that wasn’t nearly as present in the daylight. But she preferred not to adventure out alone when it wasn’t necessary. Clubbing, drinking, dancing, breaking into abandoned buildings... none of it was nearly as fun on her own as it was when she had someone else to share the fun with.
That’s exactly why she had invited Hana. It wasn’t often that she dragged Hana out for midnight escapades, so she was surprised when the younger had agreed to it. But Hyojin had promised it would be fun. How could anyone turn down a promise like that?
They had agreed to met at a street corner not too far from Hana’s home. Hyojin, after all, had already been most of the way there when she’d decided to call the younger woman- for that reason, it seemed a rather convenient location to meet up.
The street lamp was bright, and Hyojin made a point of standing beneath it rather than in the shadows, wanting to be seen. She checked her phone out of boredom, hardly paying any attention to her surroundings. A man passed her, his eyes locked on her low cut shirt, skimming down to the hem of her shorts just as Hyojin looked up. She quirked an eye brow at him, “Keep walkin’, asshole. Move along.” Did he think she was a prostitute or something? With the way she was dressed, standing here alone, she supposed it would have made sense for him to make that mistake. Still, she shooed him along, scoffing under her breath when he finally left. Men were so fucking stupid sometimes.
Another glance down at her phone and, when she looked up again, Hana was walking in her direction. She waved an arm to get her attention and called out to her, “Hey! You’re late!”
