ahh yes, my doomed ocs joining this trend

Omg sure!! I might go off on a bit of a ramble so fair warning-

This is Ezron!! He travels with/follows the main protagonist of the story- I wouldn't necessarily call him an antagonist but he's not up to anything good. More like he causes mischief than actual harm? Further in the main story anyway

Ezron was a regular mortal of his realm at first, but of course bro got caught up in magic he wasn't supposed to learn. Forbidden. He ended up hurting a lot of people, including his loved ones with a particular enchantment. He misread the inscription on a scroll he discovered while out exploring ruins- he didn't realize until the damage was done, the spell took control and transformed him into one of the creatures from the part of the world everyone stays away from. And because he wasn't of his mind- he ruined his city.

He was only brought back from the brink of losing his consciousness by a group attempting to exorcise his soul? It worked- sort of. The dark magic refused to leave his vessel/it intertwined itself with Ezron's essence, so all it really did was transform him back into a semi human form. The mask he wore during his experimentation/casting is now fused completely to his face as well as the rest of his body being completely mutant now that he covers- except for his hands. He just waves people off saying they're his gloves.
