Could I request North Korea, he’s one of the most interesting countries to me. I’m curious, what’s his dynamic with China for you?
tbh i think DPRK and China’s relationship is kinda strained. It’s more like business partners and not friends.sure, mb they were on better terms during the Korean war and 1950-60’s, but rn??? Completely different story.
For DPRK, they definitely need China to survive. (esp in terms of trade and catching deflectors yk) but DPRK tries their best to not show that. It’s a weird mix of ego and politics there. (If it becomes too obvious that they’re dependent on China, it might affect the Kim family’s power/legacy) Also, bc of the Rus-Uke war, interactions between DPRK and Russia have increased in number.. So it kinda looks like DPRK is hanging out w/ Russia more than China in CH terms (idk what im talking abt rlly)
For Chinaaa, i’ve seen some posts abt younger generations of China viewing DPRK as a ‘burden’ so that could be interpreted as China growing tired of DPRK (mb???) but i’m sure China would never actually let DPRK know that. (plus, it’s lwk too late to back out now) Andandandand China prolly doesn’t approve of all the nuke experiments of DPRK. Not only is DPRK sharing borders w/ China, but it also ruins DPRK’s reputation (if it can fall even more), which could drag China down too. ((news article: citizen of China worrying abt radiation https://www.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2016/01/08/2016010800322.html)) Also, I feel like they have some miscommunication issues. DPRK is secretive af and lwk China is too..
It’s like USA and ROK but more business-like?? Idk
I haven’t thought abt USA&ROK relationship too much as well. Mb that’s the next topic for my yap sessions
