#eyedra

As much as I want to do a post similar to Captain Thunders where I show a drawing I made of a character and their medal, I don't have many of the former sorry :<

Though if you're interested in more medals of Bosses that don't have them:

Eyedra! Slimamander is really cool, but I do feel Eyedra is kinda underrated. Unlike their purple cousin (I think), Eyedra is really shy and calm. That's why I made one head sleeping and the other not giving a care in the world. The bg is a bit lazy, it's just the handmade firewall they use in their Blasters Boss Fight.

Next we have Shogun King. I think most people consider this guy to be the hardest boss in Blasters, and fair enough. I really like how he wields a blade that's as tall as him, which gives him really good range. The bg is just his arena with the weapons of his victims and the (totally real) full moon that he's likely gonna slash in a couple of seconds. Also to clarify: his hands aren't blue, that's just part of his armor.

I've already drawn Cap. Thunder so this was to be expected. I apologize for how bad his hands look, please try to ignore them. Being a Star Wars reference himself, I decided to put him in an emperor-worthy throne. Whether the location of that throne is in a hypothetical 2nd giant battleship capable of destroying planets I will not clarify :)

And finally, Robonyan 3000. Aside from being a stronger version of Robonyan 28, I don't know much about this character but I think he looks really cool. His pose is inspired from a Hasbro Robonyan medal, I thought It'd fit since he's doing his Soultimate move. Also kinda funny, but I actually drew his whole body before realizing the smoke from his jetpacks covers most of them... whoops!

Review number seven, Eyedra. Second monster with a skull in its design so far and one that I like a bit better than Coccyx. Despite being a bioconstruct it’s pretty reminiscent of a plant with the eyes on various “stalks”.

So onto the fluff, now on first looking at this monster, what do you think would be its main form of attacking? Biting? Strangling? Psychic emanations? Well the description says “When threatened, the Eyedra can release stored energy in concentrated beams” that’s right it attacks with LASER EYES! It’s one of the more out there forms of attacking a bioconstruct has, especially paired with a relatively unassuming form, but it’s not unwelcome. Just imagine how many beams a well fed Eyedra could fire off. Though I gotta admit it’s kinda funny we have had three monsters that feed off of energy by absorbing it from their eyes.

Now the design, it’s simple but it’s pretty good. The concept is pretty basic, a skull with many eyes but it is executed really well, the “stalks” curve and twist in a very entrancing manner, and the skull is simple yet charming. They eyes themselves are also very well designed.
