Elizabeth Kloepfer Deserves Better
I just watched Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Here’s my thoughts on it.
• Lily Collins is so pretty, my first thought as the movie opens.
•Zac Efron is already coming strong with his performance and it’s the first 10 minutes.
•I feel so bad for Elizabeth Kloepfer, the actual person, because I can’t imagine the grief and the anger of having a man turn out like Ted Bundy did. The shock and horror. It makes me want to read her stories
•The soundtrack is really good, I really like the vibe of the music.
•I don’t feel anything like sympathy for Zac’s portrayal, like he is coming off as caring and sweet for Liz. However, I see through it, like I see the madness in his eyes. So, I don’t feel like this movie is glorifying Ted, just rather seeing from Liz’s eyes to see how Ted was to her.
•Zac Efron is doing a great job, he’s the best actor in this movie so far.
•I wonder how Molly, Liz’s daughter, feels. Does she remember Ted? Does she feel disgusted, knowing that he was once a father figure?
•😶This scene where Ken is talking to the press and Ted tries to talk to them. It was creepy how similar his mannerism was to the actual footage.
•ughhh, Ted never stops talking about how he is innocent. It makes me annoyed and I can’t imagine the actual reality of being around him.
•hmmmm, Liz and her co-worker is a weird thing right now, I wonder if this actually happened in real life or just trying to give Liz an another plotline/character development
•Carole Ann’s character is throwing me off and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because we know Ted is guilty and it seems obvious, so I feel like she should have known. However, Ted is really manipulative.
•I do not feel bad for Ted, but prison guards are nasty. They should not be biased, and treat everyone the same.
•The florida trial makes me uncomfortable because the judge and Ted has a banter going on. Plus, all of the girls in the court is crazy. Thinking about how that was real, that they were making jokes and letting Ted be Ted is gross. The victims’ deaths were not jokes.
•the descriptions of the crime is so gruelsome. I can’t believe Ted did that. The interviews of the girls in court are really uncomfortable because it’s real and lewd.
•The interaction between Ted and his lawyer as Ted gets riled up is very chilling because you see the murderer in him.
•Ted is becoming more scary as the movie progesses. Omggggg, he fired his counsel and I just want Ted to stop talking. He’s very annoying. Like Zac is hot but his character is so irritating, so I don’t think anyone is going to like his character.
•yessss, the judge told the girls to shut up, thank god.
•ohhhhhh shittttt, Ted talking to Liz’s boyfriend is very uncomfortable. Oh gosh, Ted looking at Liz like that is so eerie. Oh, actual sex scene. Yikessss, he’s upset. Oh boy, Liz came up. I wonder if the real Ted Bundy was this upset about Liz. I doubt it.
•”are you shitting me” my mood
•oooo, Liz and her co-worker are fighting. I kinda don’t care about this but let’s see what happens
• “Why do you act like you’re responsible for the things that happened to him” This is a great like since victims of abuse feel responsible for the abuse set upon them. This is what Liz is going through and I feel terrible for her.
•Liz was the one who gave the police his name but I know the police didn’t use the tip. Still, Liz, you did do the right thing.
•Mr. Simpson is a real one for dealing with Ted.
•Bless Ted’s mom. She was a mom and he was still her son. The horror she must have felt.
•Go Zac, great emotion. Hard to believe he was Troy Bolton.
•I don’t feel pity for Ted and I’m trying to feel emphatic towards Carole and her baby but 🤷♀️I don’t care.
•Go Liz, got her own office. Oh yeah, I forgot about the opening. She’s going to visit him. Did she actually visit him in reality?
•My heart is breaking for Liz. Yessss it’s his guilt, not yourssss Liz.
•Kimberly was a child. KIMBERLY WAS A CHILD. Just wanted to remind people of how awful Ted is.
•the intensity between Lily and Zac is great, loving it.
•when he wrote hacksaw, I got chills.
•god, over 30 murders. My stomach is hurting
•they did a tribute of listing all of the names of the victims and I love that. Anyone who was thirsting over Ted has to read the names.
•overall, good movie with great actors. I do believe that somehow the structure could have been stronger. However, everything else was good. I did not feel like the movie was trying to make Ted look good which was what everyone was worried about. 8/10 but i enjoy movies no matter what.
