Out of curiosity, is this an MDZS-only blog or is it like inclusive of other MXTX works or other Chinese works?
ahhh, this is actually a CQL-only blog! There are a few but Very Key differences between CQL and MDZS that make the live-action version interact with different takes on themes like morality and relationships and embodiment, so most of the stuff on this blog is CQL-centric, and any takes I have on MDZS should be taken with great skepticism because I haven’t actually read the novel myself
I’m pretty satisfied with the way this blog has become a CQL-only archive, and I feel like adding other works to it will mess up the organization system I’ve got going up there (gestures vaguely) in the masterlists. I have been thinking about making a sideblog for other books/media I get into, so stay tuned to that!

Trying to learn how to game on pc after being a console only player my entire life is leaving me more disoriented than I’d like to admit, and it’s slightly embarrassing.
It is kind of alarming, when summarising a thing, how omitting details from the described events makes them sound highly dubious (”An experiment showed that”), and how editing to include more or less irrelevant details (”An experiment by a pair of Australian researchers, Megan Oaten and Ken Cheng, in 2006, showed that”) suddenly makes them sound credible again.
I kind of feel like I should respond by throwing out the irrelevant detail on purpose, but what I’m actually going to do, in order to not be self-sabotaging (and save conscious effort) is continue writing what seems to flow naturally.
(Some of this should sound dubious, anyway; some of these experiments strike me as questionably designed. Although allegedly there’s others backing them up.)
Slowly coming to terms with the fact I won't be renewing my pass.
