Name: âSeungryongâ / | âDeokhwanâ Shifter Form: Arceus Appearance: Imprisoned in his current human form, Seungryong now presents as a frail-looking Korean man in his late 40s. He wears a black turtleneck along with comfortable jeans, and never seems to need to open his mouth in order to communicate. His hands are unusually pale compared to the rest of his tanned frame, as though hinting at them being covered before, and his body is marred by countless scars that seem to encapsulate the cosmos and mesmerize another if they stared at it for too long.Â
Being granted the capacity of shapeshifting and wishing to blend in with his friends, Seungryong occasionally takes on a second form of a small, pale Korean man in his early 30s. In this form, he usually dresses in grey suits and platform shoes, acting every bit professional as much as possible- even so, he does not open his mouth to communicate, and was named âDeokhwanâ by his companions as a new alias. Personality: Seungryong is deeply reserved, but megalomaniac as he is, cannot stay idle for long. While outwardly presenting as quiet and refined, Seungryong is unstable and paranoid, never forming bonds and obsessing over his rose- Chaewon. All-powerful as he is, he harbors deep resentment of the human race for not being molded in the way he sees them and leans towards genocidal, often questionable means to rid his world of humans once and for all so that he can ârebuildâ them in the way he sees fit. Nihilistic and unhinged as he is, Seungryong actually hides his crippling insecurity of being a fallen god and his inability to tap into his original reality-shaping power the way he wants to. History: Born when the world was created, Seungryong once went by a name long forgotten and buried by legends. The only god who took an interest in Earth, Seungryong created humans in his likeness and sent them off to their own settlements, ruling over them as a benevolent god. In return, the humans brought him offerings: flora and fauna they had found would please him, and Seungryong took a great liking to a single red rose he had been presented with, breathing immortality into it so that he could have it forever.Â
This ended when the humans became discontent with their peaceful lives, and wars began to ravage through the land. News soon reached Seungryong, who immediately set plans into motion to peacefully stop the fighting- but when his rose was destroyed amidst the chaos, a grieving Seungryong launched a superweapon that would suck all life from the surroundings to restore his rose back to life, committing genocide on the humans he created in the process but returning his rose back to its original form. With this, however, the rose gained sentience and horrified by the sacrifice made to restore her, sought to fly into the heavens instead, away from Seungryong.Â
With the loss of his rose, Seungryongâs emotions shattered and seeped into the grounds around him- his goodness formed the order known as the Light Wizards, and his less-desirable emotions formed the order known as the Dark Wizards. Hollowed from this, the now-emotionless Seungryong was punished and tasked to recreate the human race, a quest he undertook with mechanical precision to ensure that none of this would occur again.Â
Though, when he finally set down the first humans, he was taken from the gods and imprisoned in a floating castle known only as The Hall of Origin, which further cemented his resentment when his gauntlets, known now as the Gloves of Potential, were cast down to Earth as they shaped another god (now known as Hyunjung) to wield them. He managed to escape, falling down to Earth and permanently trapped in his human form, unable to speak as his abilities to shape reality were stripped away.Â
At the start, Seungryong was mistaken as a catatonic old man and taken in by Non-non Nursing Home, nobody truly knowing of his immense ability. Only Chaewon, now human, recognised him for who he was, and sympathetic to her master being the way he now was, sought to seek the best care she could for him while he was on Earth with her. Seungryong was only happy to behold her from a distance, but as his time trapped in his own mind seemed to grow longer and longer, his megalomania resurfaced, and Seungryong now coveted her exclusively for his own eyes. He soon managed to regain his abilities through the sealed Artefact known as the Azure Flute, but when the flute chose another, the kleptomaniac detective Woosung, Seungryongâs resentment towards the human race hit a fever pitch and he sought to once again destroy the human race once and for all, by hook or by crook.Â
Eventually, after his schemes were thwarted by the sacrifices of many Chosen, he took a deep interest in the two children who had not only boldly strode into his demiplane, but also easily turned against him when he had offered proposals one shouldnât by right be able to refuse- Saeron and Dongyeon. Saeron and Dongyeon made a deal with Seungryong to show him the goodness of the human race before he decided to continue on his path of destruction, and Seungryong took this with great seriousness as though it was a blood pact. He now shadows the duo in their day-to-day life, Saeron and Dongyeon quick to pass him off as their âstrange uncleâ and trying their best to keep the secret of harboring a genocidal fallen god as much of a downlow as possible.Â
Powers: Seungryong is a skilled mage, able to tap into every ability manifested in a shifter or Chosen as he sees fit. He can alter the memories and personalities of others through speaking his piece to them, which shatters their sense of self and allows him to reshape them or even take control of their bodies if he saw fit- for now, with his voice taken away, he can only speak to them through telepathy. He is also able to teleport great distances without exhaustion (a feat impossible to all shifters and Chosen with this ability), is impervious to nearly any form of damage and fully capable of stopping time and space if he felt like it.Â
With the Gauntlets of Potential, he is able to concentrate on multiple instances of his abilities at the same time and tap into all of them at once, allowing him to create massive disturbances across time and space to cause the end of the world as he knew it. Immortal/Semi-Immortal?: Immortal Alignment: Neutral Evil Other: -
