Not wanting to be judged is something nearly all of us can relate to; it has nothing to do with your sorting. What determines your primary is how you make your decisions, and you make your decisions based on conscious thinking and external data, making you a Bird.

The short answer: Bird secondaries seek advice to use as tools to solve problems or boredom. Bird primaries seek advice to test their moral system and potentially update it. Badger primaries seek advice because they care what others think.

The Bird secondary is going to be collecting advice because they find it interesting or they enjoy having an assortment of advice to be able to call upon. The advice is a tool for solving problems or for solving the Bird's boredom. I imagine a Bird secondary who likes collecting advice may also enjoy collecting advice for situations they'll never be in, or from different, even conflicting voices. Which bit of advice is correct matters less than its usefulness or how interesting it is.

For the External primaries, it does matter how correct the advice is because it's a matter of morality. For a Bird primary, the advice is something to test against their system, to decide whether to accept or reject it into their beliefs. For some Birds, its as simple as if the advice jams with their experiences, the advice is coming from a trusted source, or whatever other empirical evidence applies, they will immediately accept it and fold it into their system. For other Birds, it takes some poking and prodding, playing with the concept, pitting it against other advice before they'll decide.
