“So tiny, itty bitty. I mean, he’s like a little fairy next to me, my elf self.” ~Ms. Evangeline Lilly, an interview on the special features of the extended addition of The Desolation of Smaug.

“My character rides an Elk, who is played by a horse named Moose.” ~Mr. Lee Pace

At one point in the interview Mr. Pace mentions how Moose kept turning around and pooping, while he was trying to say his lines during the three-way confrontation scene between Thorin, Bard and Thranduil.

They cut to Peter Jackman saying “So Richard/Thorin kept ending up talking to a horses ass.”

To which I commented to my mother “He was originally talking to Thranduil, so he was already talking to a horse’s ass.”
