But maybe that's because I relate to cats because as a kid I was given a book called " all cats have autism" (at the time it was called " all cats have Asperger's syndrome" but it was renamed to "all cats have autism" to be correct for modern days) and it was made for autistic kids to better understand their behaviors through their pets
And I took that book very literally and I fully believe to this day that cats have autism ( even though only humans can have autism I know I know) so I grew closer to cats then with people tbh
I personally headcannon Caine as autistic and some of his physical mannerisms and visual expressions remind me of cats, so I felt a few cat memes were good practice for expressions on Caine
Caine is a hyper social autistic in my mind which isn't as easily diagnosed because doctors often look for antisocial behaviors when looking for autism, so if caine was a person he would be diagnosed at an older age unlike me who was diagnosed young due to my antisocial behaviors and high Anxiety issues
which is a bias in the psychiatrist offices as a whole and leads to countless children and adults undiagnosed thinking they're just weird when in reality they're just autistic which is an issue in of itself that I'm not going over in a post about Caine of all characters
However as an autistic woman, I headcannon Caine is on the autism spectrum.
