An extended exploration of my Weird Sound Generator (three 40106 oscillators modulating each other) fed through a 2500-style filter into Clouds. Audio-rate triangle, then saw, waveforms modulate the filter's cutoff frequency, attenuated through an expression pedal for an extra dimension of control. A few times, the Clouds pitch-shifter goes into a trill as I throw manual gates at its CV input.
This is one of those pieces that was a delight to listen to while making it, though I don't know how it'll hold up without hands on the controls.
I gotta remember that controlling my synth with an expression pedal, no matter how fun it might be, is a bad idea when I'm having balance issues. Too much teetering on one foot while the other pumps up and down!
(The patch is just a couple of voices running through the 2500 filter, with the expression pedal signal coming from a 5V source to control the cutoff. Big wah-wah style swoops and squonks, right up until I nearly fall over.)

Hey man, blurry update and a question. I added the Keeley Aurora reverb and I’m lovin’ it with pedals through the clean channel on my Deluxe Reverb II. Still prefer the amp reverb with the dirty channel and no pedals other than a boost for solos. I’m wanting to get an expression pedal and I’m wondering if there’s a gadget it would plug into that will operate both the x4 and the ep2 and switch between them. One of these days I’m going to buy that Boss es8 switcher and I believe it has an exp pedal input. Will that get it done or do I still need to shell out the hard earned for the gadget? Thanks and keep up the good work.

Yooooo. I’ve heard the ES8 is really hit or miss which has stopped me from wanting to invest in one. As far as routing one expression pedal, the best I have seen is the Mission Expressionator. I still want to get one eventually. Super useful tool for any board. Definitely have a cool setup. Thanks for sharing! Let’s get some clearer quality next time too! ;D
Moog rolls out the Minifoogers
Of all the instruments out there and all the unique ways by which they are played, not many of these actually require the use of all four limbs at a time. Some instruments like woodwinds only require your mouth and fingers, while a guitar really only requires fingers and arms. Once you get into piano, you will realize the importance of having your feet to add or subtract expression from your music. Beyond that, drummers have a great responsibility to use all of their limbs in perfect harmony. It is not easy, as any drummer will tell you, and many DJs who once were drummers might have a leg up on the rest. I say this because employing the use of your feet lets you keep your hands busy. It also minimizes the amount of movement that needs to be done by your body.  If you uses a guitar effects pedal to outro your mixes with an echo, your hands could easily be busy worrying about more important things like mixing volumes. The Moog “Minifooger”, is a small pedal that is designed to give expression in a typical Moog fashion. I think that the Moog name certainly sets it apart from the many guitar pedals out there. http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=21359
