7:30am: Morning Fitness at Heather Garden in Fort Tryon Park

I wake up at 6am, because it’s quite far from my place. But I took a wrong train toward different direction, so I was late for the fitness of 7:30 in Fort Tryon Park. I tried to find people, but I couldn’t. So I did fitness myself in the Heather Garden. At first, I could not understand why I should come here in the early morning, but when I got there I realized that it’s worthy enough. The garden was so~ beautiful like Hockney’s painting.

8:45am: Breakfast ‘Green Juice Cafe’

I was so hungry (I am a ‘must-have-breakfast’ person). But the next place ‘Dichter pharmacy’ where I was supposed to have breakfast opened 30min later;;; So I found a cozy cafe, ‘Green Juice Cafe’ I had a toasty basil pesto sandwich with spinach. It’s very fresh and tasty!

9:30am: Dichter Pharmacy

A Japanese TV show filming was planed at this pharmacy in this afternoon. When I arrived there the pharmacist asked me if I came earlier by the chance of the TV show recording. He seemed to be very exited for it, with the saying “Something’s really happened here”. (He considered of the SNS stream) The manager of the cafe in the pharmacy was day off today, and a new part timer was there instead of him. Actually she was a new comer today, did not know well how to do. The pharmacist let her know everything about the recipe whenever they had orders. I ordered ‘Soda fountain’ with chocolate flavor. It was not the real choice by myself, I just followed the direction of the apexart schedule. (Usually, for day drink, I do not like non-healthy drink;;;) Actually the soda siphon didn’t working because celsius(?) ran out, so they just made it with milk, chocolate syrup and soda drink(from a can). The drink was the total of bad things. I just tried a draft of it, but soon gave up to drink it all. The pharmacist asked me if I do not like it because it is not sweet enough. (It’s not the problem, if it’s sweeter, it’s worse.) I couldn’t say that I do not just like it. I almost left them all and I felt very sorry to him. By the way, why we can have the harmful drink in the Pharmacy? (and… Inwood again?!?)

11:30 am: Albertine Books

12:45pm: Empire State Building

Blue sky, sunshine, and refreshing breeze! It’s a perfect day for observing in the Empire State Building. I could understand why here is the landmark of NYC. It’s like a real life edition of Google map. Above all, I think I know how big is this city. It’s literally amazing!!! (With the express card from tom, I can easily get the upstairs without any wait time. I really appreciate him for this.)

2:30pm: Snack time

4:00pm: Pho @ OBAO

First pho in NYC. (First time with yelp.) It’s not so much great. I think that even a franchise pho restaurant ‘Emoi’ in Korea is much better than this. (I will try another pho restaurant later!)

6:00pm: Committee in Manhattan Community Board 1

First, the building was astonishing. Normally when I went some of those places abroad, most of time I was looking at them outside. It’s a very special experience to observe the committee in the city. They discussed the resilience of parks and waterfronts in NYC. (That was an extension of the last meeting.) Previous meeting record: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/manhattancb1/meetings/committee-agendas.page The debate including argument and reconciliation were endless on the agenda in the open conference. Although I could not mention about anything, the committee gave the chance of utterance to people attended. I’ve given the matter a lot of thought. I may have to attend one of city conferences in Seoul.
