7. Who fell first and who fell harder? Both? You or f/o?

Nathan definitely fell first, no doubt about it! He has a habit of falling in love easily, and Valerie is no exception. This time Nathan is a lot more reserved about his feelings after the events of AOTD and he doesn't want to come off too strongly because Valerie is his PR agent... He's still crushing super hard though LOL.

At first, Nathan was crushing because of Valerie's aesthetic, but once they began to work together, he found that they had a lot more in common than he realized. That, and Valerie's consistent patience and kindness towards him only made Nathan's feelings for her much more prominent. Poor thang his ex's suck so much argg :( It's super obvious that Nathan likes Valerie, so Pickles attempts to be his wing man because that's what friends are for, and he thinks Nathan deserves to be with someone that's actually good to him... This causes Pickles to hang around with Valerie more often just to ask her really dumb obvious questions about her type ("So, uh... What would you do if a guy asked you out right now? Like, uh, a tall dude with long, black hair. Perhaps. Oh, uh... No reason, I'm just curious."), but in the process Pickles also finds Valerie to be endearing too... Pickles doesn't focus on it too much because him and Nathan are already very close and he doesn't want that bond to break again because the two have a lot of unspoken feelings towards one another...

Valerie doesn't initially have romance on the mind, but he gets really close to Skwisgaar and they end up having a falling out because of the state of their situationship. This leads to Valerie becoming depressed, and while Nathan and Pickles don't know the details, they know for sure that something happened between them. While Nathan, along with Pickles, start to become closer with Valerie, she can't help but find herself at ease around Nathan in particular. She suspected that Nathan had feelings for her because of Pickles' previous ramblings, but she recognizes that he put those feelings aside to make sure that she was comfortable and felt supported during her heartbreak... It touched Valerie, so it's safe to say that she began to feel very fond of Nathan and Pickles.

Once Nathan and Pickles come together and really talk about how they feel for Valerie, they discover that polyamory is a very real possibility to consider after googling "Can a threesome date?", and they confess to Valerie in the most convoluted way possible (they take turns saying each word of the confession until Valerie tells them to knock it off LOL). After they finally get the message clear to Valerie, she's extremely flattered because she's never had two people ask her out at the same time, much less two people she has romantic feelings for. Valerie accepts their proposal and they start dating! For further context, Nathan and Pickles go into the relationship with V polyamory in mind, but they soon realize that they are, in fact, gay for each other LOL. Nickles wins happy pride
