EXPLORING GEOMETRY // RESPONSE
As a response to my workshop exploring geometry in the first after effects session of the year, I have revisited the skills and tried to make an improved version of my original video, as well as exploring other new effects to use within the video. I also added sound to the video, to give my composition a beat to work to and an idea of when to change each frame. I worked with the beat of the track to get my shapes and effects work coherently and transition from one frame to another. I used effects we learnt in the first after effects session, such as CC Slant, the Wriggler and Venetian Blinds. I also used other effects learnt in other sessions to tie my composition together, such as the sketch effect.
I created my compositions in 1.13 second frames, as this was the gap between every beat drop on my track. I then moved them to my building comp and began to stack and order them in the way in which I wanted them to appear in the composition.
