Date night with my husband @meafordhall watching Men of the Deeps For those not in the know, this is a choir of coal miners from Cape Breton on the east coast of Canada. The choir was founded in 1966 and two of the current singers are founding members. All members must have worked in the mines for at least two years. They did a lovely mix of songs about working in the mines and Christmas songs, all with a Celtic flair. I feel lucky to live in a community with such a lovely hall and access to so many great performers.
