50 ways to kiss someone (accepting)Â
19. âŠfor luck. (Junkrat)
The last weeks at the Watchpoint were being a little tense. They were busy, half of the agents were out on missions and the other half, waiting for instructions for the next one, that everyone knew could be at any moment.
LĂșcio, however, knew he couldn't make it to any mission for the time being, for the last one he went, he came back with a bullet on his leg.
He remembered clearly: he was caught in a trap, surrounded, too far from the other agents since he was the most fit to reach the upper floor quickly.Â
He was a fool, though. He should've stayed close, he should've waited for backup, he should've used his goddamn brain for once. He was good at it. Why didn't he, then?
But LĂșcio was also lucky as hell. All the times he was there for his team was paid off when he saw everything in front of him exploding, barricading him as Junkrat magically appeared by his side, grabbing and throwing him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and getting the hell out of there.
And even though LĂșcio had saved everyone's lives at least once, he still felt like owing the world to him. His own world.
So when the new mission was announced, he felt guilty he could not be there.
LĂșcio observed the other agents getting ready, heart tiny in his chest. He wanted to go so much, but the stitches and bandages on his lower leg didn't allow him to.
When he spotted Junkrat among them, clearly itching for some chaos, LĂșcio approached him with care.
"Hey." his voice was low, and even lower when the other's attention turned to him. "I... am sorry for being dumb and having to be grounded now. I wish I could go out there with you to watch your back like you did with mine last time. So uh..." He pressed his own lips against one another, averting his eyes just for a bit. He then looked a little more determined, and reached out the arm that wasn't holding the crutch, stretching as far as he could while gently pulling Junkrat down, kissing the corner of his mouth.Â
He immediately let go, not at all embarrassed like he thought he would be. "That's a thank you for last time... and also for good luck now. Be careful out there, will you?"
