headcanon that for Miles and Gwen's first anniversary, he gets her two things:
A) a little ring - he tells her it's a promise ring. she has no clue wtf that means. when he explains it she almost cries. george thinks it's a bit soon for such a commitment, jeff knows he was just as insane about rio when they were that age.
B) a weighted penguin plushie. she becomes obsessed. he never sees her sleep without it. even when she spends the night with him, she brings it over. she named it juice. he doesn't know why. neither does she. sometimes he falls asleep with her on his chest, but wakes up and finds her snuggled with that fuckass penguin plush. he'd appreciate if it would stop stealing his girlfriend's cuddles in the middle of the night.
years down the line, juice becomes little charlotte's second plushie (would've been her first, but juice was too big and she needed something smaller for her crib). miles goes from watching his girlfriend cuddled up with the stuffed animal, to watching his daughter. (and no, they don't count the millions of stuffed animals given to them from by their friends. they mean stuffed animals from mom and dad, not the stuffed bears from uncle pav and peter that are overflowing in the closet)
(he's secretly happy that juice can no longer steal gwen's affection in the middle of the night)
