Teach me your ways Lord, my God ! If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” Exodus 33:13 NIV All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus's precious name ! From the context of the subject verse, we could see that Moses is interceding for His people. By the promises God made to him, he asked God to teach him the ways. Certainly, they are the ways to lead the people to the promised land. Furthermore, the ultimate aim of Moses was to seek God's presence with him and the Israelites all throughout their journey and beyond. Moses reverently asked God to show His ways. By asking this, he wanted to know God more. Moreover, he wanted to live in such a way that ensures the constant favor of the Almighty God. Moses knew that he by himself would not be able to lead the Israelites. He wanted a partner. Undoubtedly, Moses wanted that he and his people to safely reach their destination. But he did not seek to rely on his own wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Even more, just like our Lord Jesus is interceding for us now, we see Moses doing the same for the Israelites. Therefore brethren, let us also rely upon the Omnipotent God who is able to do everything for us. Let our confidence be in the Lord and may His continuous favor be upon us who are his people. You might have noticed that I've been MIA for a bit, well that's because we've been having a tough time over here. And as I've been trying to put one foot ahead of the other, God has been pulling my heart back to this page and the message that He's got for me here. Friends, listen, because you might need to hear this one too! Even as things keep piling up (like the Princess' mattresses), Gods love does not change (like the pea that she cannot help but feel). Even as life continues to get crazier Gods presence is with you! The pile of life might be bigger but God is exponentially bigger than that - He holds the whole pile in His hand! In #exodus33 Moses is asking to see God, he's pleading for mercy for the Isrealites (yet again). And God tells him that He knows him by name (holy moly!) and that His protection is always with him (wowzers!). God says that He will reveal His presence to Moses, but that He won't show His face. That spoke to me so deeply in this time of hardship. While we may not be able to see God's face it does not mean that we have lost His favour or that He has withdrawn His grace from us. God's presence is still with us in the tough times, when we feel like we can't see Him clearly, He is still fully there, friends.
