Get ready Fashionistas,

          Kara always has a keen eye on what she thinks fits well together in terms of her outfit and her line. Known as a fashionista, this gorgeous young lady is always dressed right for every occasion at any time on any day. A fresh graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, I had the time to interview her on herself and Zazazu. I bet you guys are curious on what actually "Za Za Zu" is? Well, let's find out.

A: So Kara, which University did you go to?

K: I went to University of Indonesia for my Bachelor degree in marketing management in 2003. I also just graduated and earned my Associate degree majoring merchandise marketing from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) located here in San Francisco.

A: Who is your fashion icon? 

K: Hmmm it's kind of hard to point out one person. I have so many! Columbine Smille, Garance Dore, Audrey Hepburn, The Olsen twins, Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, and many more..

A: Where can we find you on your day off?

K: I love going to cafes, trying out new restaurants, and hanging out with some friends at the park. 

A: Focusing on your Fashion line, what is Za Za Zu? 

K: It is a clothing line that my partner and I started in 2009 in Jakarta, Indonesia. We've always loved designing our own clothes. Our styles are different yet complement one another. Someday, we just decided that we're going to make this real! Plus, we thought it was a perfect idea to channel our passion into something tangible together. That's when Za Za Zu was born. To us, Za Za Zu is our medium to express our creativity and passion in fashion. 

We focus on selling our clothes online. It's our strategy given by knowing who our customers are (very tech savvy and prefer something in a convenient manner). They are women in their early 20s and 30s, who just started going to college or working in a company. 

A: What and who are your inspirations before creating your next collection? 

K: As for me, my inspirations come from anywhere. Fashion magazines, runway shows, street style webs and blogs, even random strangers, or my friends and family. 

A: How would you describe your clothing line? And your current line?

K: Za Za Zu offers affordable pieces which can be easily mixed and matched with other clothes in our customers' wardrobe. We always chose materials that we think would provide comfort. Our aesthetic design plays around minimalistic and simplicity. 

A: Where do you see Za Za Zu in the next 5 years? 

K: Available in 3 asian countries, we're targeting Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
