People say "oh our Earth isn't like Pandora!" But it is, our world used to be BEAUTIFUL now we're facing rapid global warming, severe pollution, widespread biodiversity loss, and food and water insecurities. MAN did this. MAN DESTROYED OUR PLANET.

"Oh now you care!" Ive cared since I was a little kid but I couldn't do anything about it. Guys please recycle, try to eat more plant based foods rather than meat (not saying you have to be vegan.), harvest rainwater, start gardening, stop wasting your food, plant trees, if possible commit to using renewable energy. Give to charities if you have the money. There are many different ways to save this planet but we have to start now, we have 20-50 years (which isn't a lot of time) before global systems begin to fracture.

After learning about the death of the last female giant Yangtze soft shell turtle, I have to admit, I felt a bit crushed. I was really hoping they would be able to revive the species, they'd made such leaps and bounds with turtle IVF... But now she's gone. And with her, the hopes of a whole species die. We did this to the giant soft shell. We pushed it to extinction with the pollution of its home; by hunting it and by destroying its natural food sources. This isn't the first animal to be a victim of our selfishness as a species, and it won't be the last.

Rule 6: Unfucking up an ecosystem without proper preparation will be disastrous. Bringing back a predator? Great! But how is the current state of their natural prey? Endangered? Oh, dear. We want to fix the prey species first, but can’t let it get out of hand before the predator comes back! How? Well, we need to figure that out, don’t we?
