Charlotte had become used to Kira climbing into her bed and although the door creaking open was always anxiety-inducing, the pitter-patter of feet dulled the negative feelings. Her hand tightened around the covers so they couldn’t be stolen, Kira would have to deal with whatever she got. Moments like this granted her bits and pieces of happiness before remembering the reason why they sneaked into each others’ beds. It was the nightmares and unpleasant memories that motivated them- sometimes, though not usually, it was loneliness or cold weather.

She would have smiled if she weren’t so concerned. The problem wasn’t that she had lied to Kira, it was that she was certainly right and if the person behind them had malicious intent, the pair of them wouldn’t end up in the familiar surroundings of DYAD. A lump of panic welled up in her throat as she surveyed the sidewalk in front of them. There were only a few more houses to walk past before they got within sight of the Bowles’ mansion.

“I think we should go through some backyards. If he’s just some normal guy, he won’t follow us. Right? Come on, hold my hand.” She kept her eyes focused straight ahead, into the darkness, as she held out her hand. Charlotte knew she had to be the brave one, she was dressed as Wonder Woman, after all.

Krissy’s heart was racing, knowing that without Aden’s help, she wouldn’t make it out alive.  But to trust a wolf was something that went against her better judgment, regardless of how nice he had been to her since they’d met.  She swallowed dryly, nodded, then took his had before standing up.  “Let’s get out of here.”

Krissy had heard the rumors about Beacon Hills from the moment she became a hunter.  It was legendary, in the same way New Orleans and Mystic Falls were legendary.  Hunters were told to avoid these hot spots, and those that chose not to knew they were risking their lives by doing so.  Krissy hadn’t planned on going to Beacon Hills, but when she got a call from someone nearby, asking for help, she went.  She hadn’t even realized she was in the sleepy town’s borders until she heard the first howl.  “Shit...” she muttered to herself, looking up and finding a full moon shining down on her.

                       Sincerity filled both his features and his tone as he looked across at Daniel. As much as he enjoyed winding Detective Espinoza up, this was something that Lucifer certainly did NOT partake in.    “ Believe it or not, Detective Espinoza… this was NOT my doing. ”   His palms lifted in defence. He knew that Dan would less than likely believe an ounce of what he spoke but there was a small part of him that just hoped that he just might. Whilst it seemed that many of their cases involved Lucifer in some way, he was never responsible and rarely ever had anything to do with the inevitable outcomes of the victims.

                 Despite his argumentative tendencies during their sessions, the last thing Lucifer wanted to do right now was ‘take a break.’ There was a soft perplexity to his features as he looked over at the Doctor. Part of him was questioning why she’d suddenly said such a thing to him.    “ Quite the contrary, Doctor— ”    Granted, his emotions and feelings were being clawed at, pulled from the depth of his body and dragged to the surface. Whilst Lucifer did not like to admit it, Linda was very much right about him. About the fact that Lucifer had been searching for something in coming to L.A and that something was in fact, the Detective.   “ In fact, I — ”   His tongue brushed over his lips. His hands clasped together atop his crossed knees.   “ I believe you’re right, Doctor. ”

everything’s a blur.  literally.  she can’t see,  because she’s not wearing her glasses.  squinting,  a hand lifting,  prompted by curiousity to touch the oxygen cannula in her nose,  mind swirling as she tries to remember.   “shit,  uh,”   shaking her head,  cosima allows her hand to fall back atop the scratchy hospital blanket.   “i dunno,  i guess  —  the last thing i remember i was at school?  i think  —  i might’ve passed out.”   that might explain the hospital,  right?  there’s a pause.   “wait.”   now she searches frantically for her glasses,  because she needs to see to confirm what she thinks she sees  —  fuzzy or not.  finding them,  finally,  cos clumsily shoves them onto her face.  oh,  fuck.   “you’re not alison,  are you?”
