Exhibitions We Love
Athena Papadopoulos, Wolf Whistles, also featuring collaboration with Monster Coat Club, Shoot the Lobster, NYC, November 2016
For her first show at Shoot the Lobster, Papadopoulos sewed pigskin fabric into the shape of butcher shop fare, like haunches and sausage links. She then stuffed these forms with batting; dyed them red with Pepto-Bismol and assorted cosmetics; ironed on her own photographs and drawings and decorated them with Turkey claws.Â
Matthieu Venot, 2017
