“Motherfucker,” Silas says as a means of greeting, his inflection carrying his own specific brand of affection, a beaming smile on his face as he steps into familiar territory for the first time in seven years. Usually when he cast a shadow in the garage, he brought with him a potential problem -- often a car that was under his temporary ownership, that the actual owner didn’t know about. Perhaps prison had changed him somewhat, because his feet had carried him there for nothing more than the company of an old friend.
