In 2023 I posted a thread outlining the research showing that transwomen have retained male athletic advantages. I am posting an updated thread today.
Each picture is rather self explanatory. This first one explains that I know of 40 separate peer reviewed papers in sports science, physiology, or medical related journals showing that transwomen retain male athletic advantages even with "gender affirming hormone therapy"
There are 9 peer reviewed scholarly papers by different groups of scholars that have evaluated the existing research and concluded that transwomen retain male athletic advantages.
There are 18 research papers demonstrating that male advantages in lean body mass are not erased by 6 months-14 years of âGender Affirming Hormone Therapyâ in transwomen. 30-70% of male athletic advantages can be explained by the sex-based differences in lean body mass.
There are 8 papers demonstrating that 6 months â 14 years of âGender Affirming Hormone Therapyâ in transwomen does not erase the male advantages in grip strength. Grip strength is often used as reliable proxy for upper body strength.
One paper demonstrating that isometric and isokinetic thigh muscle strength was not reduced due to 1 year of âGender Affirming Hormone Therapyâ in transwomen and the strength in TW was ~50% higher than in comparable females.
Two papers on transgender U.S. Air Force personnel, with one paper concluding that transwomen were still faster after 2 years of GAHT and the other paper concluding that TW still performed more sit ups after 3 years and more pushups after 4 years GAHT.
One cross-sectional paper showing that an average of 14 years âGender Affirming Hormone Therapyâ does not erase male advantages in VO2peak.
One cross sectional paper showing that after an average of 6 years of âGAHTâ in purportedly athletic transwomen had higher jumping power, handgrip strength, absolute VO2max, and lung capacity than very fit women.
One case study paper showing that gender affirming hormone therapy in a NCAA D1 TW swimmer (**cough** Lia Thomas **cough**) did not reduce performance as much as would be necessary to eliminate male advantage.
No studies show a reduction in body height in adult males who undergo testosterone suppression with or without estrogen administration.
Three papers showing that (combined) sex-based differences in body height are not erased with short term use of puberty blockers in adolescents, or puberty blockers and cross sex hormones starting in adolescents and continuing through early adulthood.
Six papers showing that (combined) sex-based differences in lean body mass are not erased by short term use of puberty blockers in adolescents, or longer-term use of puberty blockers and cross sex hormones starting in adolescents and continuing through early adulthood.
In summary...

Someone pretending to be a biologist recently tried to scold me that I had failed to "[present] a single empirical study conducted with elite trans athletes that effectively proves they have any athletic advantage post-GAHT."
In response, I spammed her with about 20 references from my own searching, before finding the above mother lode: 40 references from a biologist specializing in Exercise Science.
It's worth mentioning that the wailng around hormone levels is a (deliberate) distraction by gender loons. Hormones cannot undo a billion years of evolution and sex differentiation such as hip and pelvic structure, pelvic rotation, femur length, muscle and fat distribution, heart size, lung size, muscle fiber area, fast-twitch muscle fibers, and so on, and so on, and so on.
I work in healthcare and my mercury in Virgo LOVES when I get to write notes. We have to be very precise and direct when explaining situations via chart notes as itâs our way to communicate to other medical personnel as to whatâs happening with patients! Virgo energy baby
I have a medical degree Iâm not using at the moment because of my ⨠mental health ⨠hmu if you want to chat about anatomy, exercise prescription, chronic pain, how a physical therapist/physiotherapist in your fic might do things
*I will not be giving medical advice! Iâm interested in chats for curiousity/fic related things/fun!

Raise your hand if you would use/know someone who could use a workout routine designed for those who are recovering from top surgery.
I'm approximately 286 days away from earning my exercise science degree and one of the projects I want to work on is making workout videos that are realistic and not geared towards weight loss, but designed to encourage wellness and physical activity for all of the other benefits it has.
And a friend of mine recently got top surgery, and as he is normally fairly active, he asked if I knew any recovery-safe exercises he could do until he gets his full range of motion back.
This is in no way related to witchcraft (well, kind of but it's so specific to my craft idk if it'd be worth elaborating on here) but since this blog has a fairly large following, I figured it'd be a good way to test the waters and see how many people might need something like that.
Also, if you have any questions/comments/concerns/suggestions about this project, please send me a message! Wellness is a community effort, and I'd love to hear new opinions and perspectives.
There are two categories when I think about taking basic science classes for my major (exercise science and kinesiology):
1) Hell yessss, I am a woman in STEM. I can fucking do this. Periodic table, variables, mitosis, meiosis, punnet squares, I got this.
2) I am never, ever going to use this information outside of college. No one is going to ask me questions about this subject while Iâm taping their ankle or showing them how to do an exercise to fix their shoulder. Why did I pick this gd major, I was going to take polisci but nooooo the doctoral degree was too sexy for me.
