man do I ever want to see more experiments aimed at our upper stratosphere! Its, well take this with a grain of salt though, easy to get there these days, relatively safe, & something that allows for much better testing of space equipment. On one side I tend towards the promise of high altitude large arrays of mirrors & lenses for huge telescopes that can take large advantage of radiowaves & microwaves as well, a much higher total spectrum telescope that could, in very real ways, take advantage of not just cosmic rays but also the atmosphere to improve their ability to see.
All, yes all, while being able to be internet capable & provide the ability to, so long as they are strung together, use lower altitude & higher altitude ship/balloons to make massive strides in using multiple frequencies together to even better control, through wave interference, what our telescopes see.
The other promise is to the militaries, mostly because its a have too it seems like, for seeing enemy targets, communication as well that's heavily encrypted & quick, while being able to provide fast response to mirv & conventional missile attacks, through not just lasers & even ionized gases from lasers that would allow for grounding static forces to those, but even nets made of det-cords & air to air interceptor drones/missiles. They are higher altitude & would be able to respond faster. Not such a bad thing, but not what I'm interested in but would help them if funding could be acquired.
I'm mostly interested in high altitude farming, living, self-sustaining practices, psychology tests needed for longer term space missions, energy capture, communications, launch platforms for orbital missions, easier capture of returning missions, better fuel manufacturing for space missions, & in general low g experiments to even astronaut training in either, effectively, no atmosphere & or enclosed areas with full atmosphere reductions which could & would be built up to orbital areas to test for increased radiation exposures & possible energy from cosmic rays (which is just faster radiation) to more plasma chemistry of belts up there & their effects on materials both for suits & ships.
Long term missions require long term increased stress tests that give us better understandings of faster travel through our solar system levels of radiation & chemistry issues, stresses, & more we will encounter.
Besides if I get a tube going down to far lower altitudes I can gain a way for multiple platforms of ships put together with people living there already, that now can help a larger launch tube for a very fast, albeit much longer duration as well, exit velocity for the ships. It would give a much easier time getting to our planets, mostly the Moon is what I'm interested in at first, just because it will be & is already hard to even do that. From there, it allows for the fuel & oxidizer to not have been used in anyway to achieve those given speeds, which allows for very efficient engines to be created for landing & launching from those given planets. I store more fuel & oxidizer, have a larger ship for living, & more tools to live for longer on another planet for very long duration missions.
Now allowing for us to make soil, fuel, energy, & more on the Moon so much easier it allows for the creation of a base that can have light tubes & fiber optics provide windows underground, provide the ability to use our mined Moon regolith to chemically & mechanically make what we need there, to live in the ship while we make sure we can move into a fully built to live long term in base. Its cheap, to start with the beginnings, the continued efforts remain cheap & self-sustained, which requires less money to continue it.
To be blunt, its cheaper than traditional current tests that are happening for these given machines, suits, rocket ships & space ships to be built, have psych tests performed, & even the energy & resources to start let alone continue.
It's not I have a spare 1000$ just laying around cheap to get going, but quite cheap. I think Elon Musk's starting of his space company took billions, this wouldn't even hit that billion to get massive results. It's bothersome.
call me azidoazide azide the way this list of things causes me to explode
Want to feel more hopeful and do more good? Read positive news from the number one source for real good news — not just 'feel good' news.
I can't even describe how much I recommend this news platform. I'm subscribed to their newspaper (Yes! Physical paper newspaper!) and genuinely cried reading it today because it made me feel less hopeless.
Its focus is not on all the tragedy in the world, or largely inconsequential "feel good" news, but on what's really happening, what people are doing to help, and how you can help too.
It's a highlight on the helpers and the fighters. Those of us that will not be silenced. It's encouragement that change is possible, and there are people pushing for it in very real ways.
It also lists things you can do to help. Lots of places to donate, yes, but also things that don't cost money, like directions on how to get involved with your community and good places to find events. Online resources, too.
It's fuel to never give up hope and to keep fighting for a better world in any way we can.
