Toroi Bandi, the "Robin Hood of Mongolia"
Toroy Bandi is a man who has two names: a good man and a bad thief. The people praise him as a good man. The nobles and the cunning Chinese merchants used to call him a bad thief.
"Toroi Bandi (the "Robin Hood of Mongolia") is a historical figure from 19th century Sukhbaatar Province, a rogue bandit who targeted government tax wagons and Manchurian imperialist rulers. He was infamous for redistributing wealth – by stealing horses and livestock from wealthier sources, and giving them to those who had less. His reputation made him so popular that locals helped him escape from prison – twice! Some Mongolians now make pilgrimage to Toroi Bandi's hometown and pay respects at the area he used to hide out, in and around Altan Ovoo and Shiliin Bogd Mountain (aka "the Emptiness")."
They also leave offerings at his statue, on the road between Dariganga and Shiliin Bogd, 8 km past Ganga Nuur Lake. The statue, dedicated in 1999, pointedly faces to China."

Khusugtun - Toroi Bandi
Saddle up the fastest horse, ride through that rough terrain far away Befriend with good people so that you are more powerful Go reach the designated point, she will be waiting for you there
Hierarchy, strict rules, I won't obey this tradition Why kneel down like a slave? I'd rather be an outlaw Though no one lives long giving and donating I will live freely as I wish on this vast planet
Just like a dog chases a duckling My enemies are chasing me and giving me no time to rest No one owns this beautiful planet I can go wherever I want thanks to my horse
Just like a kite sneaks into dark bushes This (my) humble body alone between these cold rocks If my people didn't support me I, Toroi Bandi wouldn't even exist People, you are just like my mother to me Please forgive this man (if I've done anything bad) [x]
