So much of the queer community Hates fluidity. Identifying as genderfluid or abrosexual is fine until you actually specify what genders or sexualities you're fluid between then it's "you're not a REAL lesbian" "you're not a REAL girl" etc.
Unironically it's "you can say you're fluid but saying how you're fluid immediately invalidates it" which is backwards ass binary bullshit.
I think one of the biggest flaws in the common LGBT community is that the mainstream community at large has an idealist perspective (like hegel) instead of a materialist perspective (like marx).
The modern inclusionist community is very idealist. They have beliefs which imply that reality is a product of our internal thoughts and perceptions. "A lesbian is someone who identifies as a lesbian" or "gender is about what you do not who you are" are idealist perspectives, and seem to be based in faith and performance, which is interesting because Marx's biggest critique of idealism is that it typically always resorts to religion. I would say the mainstream LGBT community operates much like a religion. You must unquestioningly agree that things like xenogenders are the same as being trans, and that there is no difference between being catgender and being nonbinary. That gender is based on performances and expectations alone, and nothing else. Even if you experience dysphoria which clearly counteracts that concept, where you feel that you are your gender detached from all social constructs and groups. They believe that gender is a concept, an ideal. Not something material.
The less common exclusionist communities like transmedicalists have a materialist perspective much like marx, where they believe that our experience is tied specifically to the physical reality, and real material things which can be observed or quantified. These people believe that our experience as humans and our consciousness are neurologically based, and that we are consisted of our physical organs, our brain matter, chemicals, electricity. This I feel is even a more accurate way of looking at it. Gayness, lesbianism, bisexuality, and transness are neurological, just like every other aspect of our existence. Gender is neurological. It's a physical thing, something you can observe. It's material. No ammount of social expectation or faith can change someone's gender or sexual orientation. None of these things are socially constructed. If you are non-binary, you are so on a fundamental, neurological level completely detached from social norms and expectations. Same for if you are trans, or gay, or lesbian, or bisexual. These are fixed aspects of your neurological profile. Material.
Capitalism has informed much of how the mainstream LGBT community treats gender and sexual orientation. It's obvious that social constructism, or inclusionism is idealist and individualist (just like capitalism), and exclusionism is materialist and collectivist (much like communism). Perhaps if the world had a more communistic viewpoint, transmedicalism would be the dominant view of gender.

pro gatekeeping arguments usually hinge on this idea that completely non affiliated people are just begging to get in and ruin everything and the only thing stopping them from doing so is rigorous policing and non-stop aggression to the point it overshadows what you even claim to be about in the first place. when in reality almost all of the disagreement is between one group and people that are just slightly different, who are basically claimed to be a slippery slope to Everyone Else.
you are absolutely entitled to gatekeeping like, a private discord server- thatβs your right! people might think youβre an asshole, but you can do it. you canβt really gatekeep things that donβt belong to you, though, like identities. you donβt own that. and i think theres probably more benefit to putting the positive progress you want to see into the world than making post after post about how the Really Real Fakers are whats wrong with the world and dividing the community and not your own divisive actions and behaviors.
