magi & akatsuki no yona AU 8)!
Possibly a member of the Toran tribe living on the dark continent before his family was taken as slaves. They ended up in Magnostadt in the fifth district, bought as livestock
Danarius was a wealthy magician with Al Thamen conducting experiments. He was in need to participants, so he offered Fenris (Leto) a chance to prove himself. In exchange for Leto’s cooperation, his family was allowed out of the fifth district and sent out of Magnostadt
The experiments wiped Fenris of his memories. Danarius was trying to do something along the lines of making Fenris’s body more receptive to the ruhk (maybe to embedd a dark metal vessel directly into his body?? Other possibilities: creating a magician or turning his body into a magic tool? Magoi manipulation??)
He escaped during the Medium fight when much of Magnostadt was destroyed. Danarius had planned to use Fenris to fight in the war against Reim.
He was found by a group of Yambala warriors who helped him to get back on his feet.
After Hiryuu’s death, people wanted to see if they could create more dragon warriors. They thought maybe it would be possible by using the blood or scales of the current dragons to grant their abilities to normal people.
They used slaves from other countries as test subjects and worked mostly out of the borders so that they wouldn’t be found out
Another possibility is that another country outside Kouka wanted to create a power that could stand against the dragons. Priests in that country predicted that the red dragon had returned around the time of Yona’s birth and feared that Kouka would rise in power and reclaim their land. The priests tried to trap other legendary creatures in human form, just as the dragons had granted their powers to humans in the past. They managed to catch a local wolf deity by using a slave child as a vessel. They used the creature’s blood to mark the child and bind them together.
When the dragons reveal themselves, they plan to send Fenris to kill Hiryuu and start the cycle of reincarnation over again
In a verse in which Fenris is a dragon, I can see him being the white dragon because of the color parallels and the magical fisting thing
