[text: Sam Donna’s Husband] Hello, Sam! I’m at a conference in the States, and I found some very neat postcards I’d like to send you. They’re blue, with those pink flamingos on them. I didn’t know flamingo lawn decorations were a real thing, I thought they were just in films, but here they are! I might have to find one and bring it to the island on my next visit, I think it would look good at the hotel. They’re surprisingly cute. If I had a lawn in London, I’d be tempted to get one myself! HB

The best back then, those words echoed inside her head. Wasn’t it selfish for him to think it would’ve been the best to just leave again? Without trying to find her? Without talking to her? Nothing had happened between Bill and Donna, only on the last night before he had left. So why had it been so hard for him to not come and talk to her. That was everything Donna wished for. Her entire life. 

It had been one year ever since Bill had left Donna behind and continued his journey to travel around the world. But something told him to go back to the island. Maybe, it was only a new feeling that he wanted to visit his aunt again, a new feeling that he needed some time out at the most wonderful place in the world or maybe he just wanted to see if a certain blonde was still on the island. On his trip, he picked up a stranger young man at the harbour, the two now sailing together over tot he island. At the question why Bill was going there, he hadn’t really a proper answer. But he tried his best to give the other a good answer.

“I once met a girl there. Actually at the same place I let you hopp onto my boat.” he said as he brought his eyes to the other. And suddenly, Bill started singing.
