Funeralistic is the second album by Quakers and Mormons. I've been honored to take care of all their artwork so when they asked me to work on the cover art for this album, I already had a clear vision of how it had to look like. 

The album concept is the "Death", so i wanted it to be as solemn as possible. Following the path started on the previous album, I chose to use another woodcut, this time taken from Hans Holbein's "Danse Macabre", entitled "Death and the Bishop"; the pure, empty white space is the perfect comment to it, no words are written on the front cover, giving to the scarlet Death its own weight and importance, as no comment is needed for this powerful image: all the text is condensed in the back cover (song titles) and in the inner sleeve (credits, lyrics).
