I thought I'd always be stuck on you.. I thought I'd want you back for the rest of my life.. But when she came along, the feelings for you started fading. The more I talked to her, the more I forgot our conversations. The more I liked her, the less I liked the idea of you. Now I'm sitting here comparing, and she's out shinning you more than I thought possible. I'm in love again, something I never thought possible after you. She's not you, and that's a good thing. She'd never do what you did, I can tell how she looks at me that she would never take advantage of my feelings like you did. Maybe you will always be the one who got away, but that doesn't mean you're the love of my life. And if I'm being 100% honest I'm hoping that will be her. Yes it's soon, but with her I feel invincible, like we can conquer the world. With her I feel at home. Like myself, I can be a little kid and instead of judging she jokes along. We'll be the epic love that people write about. And you'll be the heartbreak that turns out to just be a lesson needed in life. So good luck with your life, I wish you the best. But now it's time I say goodbye because you are toxic and I want to focus on my amazing, wonderful girl I got in front of me. She's my world. I love her. And she deserves the best I can give her.
