#evolution predictions

Those are the flags of Ireland, England, and Scotland respectively. All of which are part of the British Isles, which Galar just so happens to be based on. Hm... 🤔

Grookey: It carries a stick in the trailer. In Ireland, there's a type of weapon called a shillelagh, which is just a stick that can be used as a walking stick or a club. I'm sure that'll be included in it's evolutions in some way. On an unrelated note, most of Grookey's names in different languages refer to tempo/rhythm/groove. If we work with the idea of being based on Ireland and music, then my mind goes to Irish dancing. It might be a longshot, but I want my Irish-dancing monkey carrying a shillelagh. Here's an example of Irish dancing/Riverdance for those that aren't familiar:

Scorbunny: People have already been talking about it possibly evolving into a footballer and the English are known to be fairly football-crazy too, so that fits. The most recent possible leaks gave me the idea of drawing inspiration from the Easter Bunny. A soccer/football playing Easter Bunny that kicks around its Easter eggs perhaps?

Sobble: It's a water Chameleon. Sounds like the perfect sort of thing to stay hidden in a lake. Scotland has a very famous lake that's supposedly the home of an elusive reptilian monster. I'd be willing to bet it'll be a Loch Ness monster-inspired lizard. Honestly if GameFreak misses this opportunity to make a Loch Ness monster pokemon, I'll be disappointed.

Last week I posted a link to a poll that was aimed at seeing what the fandom thinks Grookey will evolve into. We ended up with 148 responses and I think it's a good time to post the results!

Basically people think Grookey will evolve into a Grass/Fighting-type gorilla with high defenses, probably high offenses, and low speed.
