Whaaaaat? I have no idea! What are defender points? I doubt it because I think this is what happened the first time I took the gym: I didnāt realize I had to claim it and my opponent claimed it out from under me? IDK bc I won the battle but then somehow someone else had the gym immediately after? I donāt get it. Anynow, finally at the end I did win and claimed the gym but on my way home apparently lost it again but oh well.

Ha! No Iām not at a level to choose a team yet. Is Team Rocket a thing in this game? Because theyāve always been my faves. I only have two Pokemon! There were hardly any in my neighborhood last night.Ā But my daughter and I are going to walk around playing it all afternoon so hopefully Iāll catch a few more.Ā

my opinion on sueish tendencies is that any decent character has got to have a dash of it. they have to be good at something or have some quirk so that they're not completely average and uninteresting. it just so happens that everything rey is good at has an explanation, which is a sign of good writing. good writing pretty much means, at least in my book, that rey is not a sue. anakin is def more of a sue because of the atrocious writing in the prequel trilogy.
One of the guys I work with has never seen any of the Star Wars movies, and sometimes I like to rile up the engineers by threatening to show him the prequels first.Ā
