The lock turns over in the knob and there’s a silent gasp of surprise from the dirty blonde. “I still have it in me, eh?” Standing to his feet, Eli tosses his bag over his shoulder and opens the door, allowing himself into his sister’s apartment. His eyes look over the place, a feeling of pride overcoming him as he realizes how far she’d come since their parents kicked her out. “Honey, I’m home.” He calls, hoping she’s home so they can start their epic reunion.
