Palace of the Winding River, ~2pm
“Well?” The Queen asks as her assistants enter her study. “The King thinks it to be a marvelous idea.” Said the first, and the newest. “It’s a wonderful way for us to get to know a kingdom that we have not been allies with.” The Queen nods silently, even though on the inside she is overjoyed. “Any news yet?” “None yet ma’am.” The middle one replies. “His Majesty plans to reach out to the King’s secretary tomorrow to discuss.”
The Queen frowns. “Tomorrow? Is he in the middle of something so important he cannot wait? This is his son’s future on the line.” The oldest and most senior reassures her with a calm smile. “His Majesty wants to make sure that the time difference between ourselves and Carrington. It already quite past eight pm there.”
The Queen smiles. “Excellent. Thank you. Please do inform the Crown Prince I’d like to speak with him as soon as possible.” The three of her assistants share a look between them. “What would you like to speak with the Crown Prince about ma’am?” The most senior asks. “Nothing that you need to worry about.” She replies with a smile.
“Let him know that I have found his future bride.”
