THE ALLIANCE | DRACO X HERMIONE

It’s been twelve years since the defeat of Lord Voldemort. Heroes of the Wizarding War, have spread out across the globe, living their own peaceful lives. However, their freedom is short-lived. Seven individuals are summoned back to Hogwarts to form an alliance in order to fight against the recurrence of the wizarding war. Lord Voldemort has returned. Against all odds, these individuals are forced to put aside their differences in order to once again, defeat the Dark Lord.

Draco stood in front of the tent with little expectations. He was told that inside the tent were Harry Potter and his gang. Draco could already imagine it. Potter with his stupid glasses. The Weasleys with their ridiculous gingered hair. Granger and her know-it-all attitude who probably has 20 cats in her house. Lovegood the airhead and Longbottom, who makes himself look like a bloody fool with every thing he does.

“Ready to meet those losers, mate?” Zabini grabbed his shoulder and motioned for him to walk into the tent first. Draco let out a scoff and finally took a step into the tent. Much to his surprise, his expectations were absolutely and completely wrong.

“Oh, it’s Malfoy,” Ginny Weasley stood there with her hands on her hips while giving him a full body scan. “You’re late,” she said. Of course the first thing Draco notices are her breasts. When the hell did she get those, he whispered to himself. “Hello, Malfoy.” It was Lovegood. She does still look like an airhead but definitely a much prettier airhead. Who would’ve thought.

A bloke stood in front of him and offered Draco his hand. Much to Draco’s chagrin, the bloke was half naked with his perfect looking abs on display. Nevertheless, Draco shook his hand and that was when he realized that bloke was Longbottom. Bloody hell, he thought to himself. What the f*ck happened.

Draco walked in further into the tent only to find Potty and Weasel sitting on the table, unaware of his presence. Potter was lighting up his cigarette with a lighter like a bloody Muggle. The real surprise there was since when did Potty started acting like a badass. Weasley glanced at him and gave him an unfriendly look. Well, at least Weasel hasn’t changed much.

“You know, Granger. I must say I’m surprised to see you here. What are the bloody chances.” That was a lie of course. I know for a fact that he had been looking for me since he arrived in Tuscany. 

Well, to be fairly honest - he has been looking for me since that night at Harry’s. I am the lousiest drinker of all time. All it took was 3 glasses of tequila and I was off grabbing Malfoy by the shirt and - well. I cringe every time I think about it. Let’s just say that I’ve left an impression on him. 

Malfoy is smiling now. It was strange; I don’t think I’d ever get used to this new friendly, smiling, less of an arsehole (yes, less. He’s still an arsehole for the most part) type of Malfoy. He looks different. He looks, better. Handsome, even. Not that I’d ever say that to his face. 

“I’m as surprised as you are, Malfoy. How did you end up in Italy, of all places?” I had to ask, just to be sure. Aside from trying to find me, I know that he’s here for his Auror duties. I finally understood why Harry told me to ‘brace myself’ when he called the other night. Could have used detailed information, Harry, damn you. 

“Auror duties. And, of course to have that coffee that you promised some time ago.”

Oh, right. Coffee. Malfoy wants to have coffee with me. Why can’t he just get his own bloody coffee? I was drunk out my mind when I asked him to get some coffee with me sometime. I can’t believe he remembers that. I can’t believe I remember that. 

“So, are you ever going to come down from there?” He asked. 

“I happen to like being on my balcony, Malfoy. I feel safe, away from you.” I jokingly replied. He let out a small laugh and placed his hand in his pocket. 

“Fair enough. You can’t grab my shirt from up there.” He smirked. That bloody smirk.
