Haha, no worries.Ā I think people need to sometimes step back and realize that older horses arenāt going to lookĀ āgoodā but that doesnāt mean they arenāt happy or healthy.Ā Sometimes, amazingly, the owner does actually know whatās best for the horse or whatās going on with the horse! If anyone has concerns about an animalās health, then bring it up with the owner first. They might be able to enlighten you about the animalās other medical conditions or concerns that make it look the way it does. If you do these things from a place of genuine concern, then youāre more likely to get a positive reaction (which could range fromĀ āYeah, we know he has Cushings & no teethā toĀ āWow, maybe I should have the vet out because youāre right he looks a little underweightā).Ā And like, I might be a messy bench who loves drama... but seriously people donāt try and start shit over some petty disagreements over an old horse.Ā Like, heās old.
