#event shenanigans

Hello everyone! I fancied another get-together, so it’s time again to grab your best outfits and come along for a party and games night. As we know, Star Wars day is on May 4th, however as it is not an internationally-recognised public holiday (yet) and unfortunately something called timezones apparently exist, I’m hosting this the weekend before instead, on Saturday 1st May at 9pm BST (8pm UTC).

This is an event for the Darth Malgus server, however - it is taking place at my Alderaan stronghold and so there is no level requirement at all! So it doesn’t matter even if you make a character on the day to come along with, or if you don’t have a ship yet, I can still invite you over. The stronghold will be on the public board under the name Yalla’ra, and you can also whisper me on that name to get an invite.

To make things easier for me, I am going to ask that you come with Republic characters please, there are some games in store where it’ll make things a bit simpler, possibly with some grouping up needed.

Games? What’s happening?

Prancing around in my stronghold has taken up a lot of my time lately (which you might or might not have noticed, in short I can’t shut up). So I have some things in store!

The Mighty Hutt Maze - I’ve been going on about this one for a while, but simply, I have built a maze and the challenge is to reach the Fortune’s Folly Fountain. The only twist is, you will be taking on a rather slow moving disguise...

Scavenger Hunt - There are five pets hidden around the stronghold, and the task is to explore Alderaan’s wonders and tell me their locations. There will be prizes in store as well! (disclaimer: I cannot promise they will be good prizes)

Swoop Racing - This isn’t a game so much as I have built something that vaguely resembles a swoop course up in the mountain retreat, so if anyone fancies showing off their mounts, this is your moment!

Dance Party! - The dance floor is back, along with its questionable bar staff. And what are meet-ups, if there is no dance party (and possible conga reprise) at some point?

Any other suggestions for stronghold games are also very welcome!

- If you want to find a creature that's green, behind the waterfall it may be seen (hidden in the secret cave behind the waterfall)

- When you're looking for a creature that flies, it's always an idea to climb up high (campfire platform)

- Searching for a baby tauntaun? It is outside, whilst you stay warm (outside the window in the northern lodging)

- For all of those who are feeling brave, it's not just killiks who hide in caves (killik caves)

Trouble is, idea has expanded from just the Hutt Maze to a bigger games night - kind of want to do a scavenger hunt in there as well now and feel like I should try and get more of the stronghold done to make it more interesting...and then as I imagine the swoop event is rolling around soon I can fill out more of my race track (which won’t be an actual race, just a silly place to mess about on speeders).

Will you maybe make another "Forget me not"-Event in the future? I really liked the different intensities of angst :)

I have some requests still in my ask box actually, and a few more from events before that.

My intent, and plan, is to get to them and toss them up at least on tumblr over the next couple months. I was going to start doing so in February, but between general February-ness and focusing on finishing up Birds of a Feather, I just didn't manage to have time for it.

That said with no events planned for April or May, and no work needed from me for the event in June, I should be able to tie off the stories I want and knock out a few more Forget Me Nots, Host Club Requests AND last year's birthday requests (but I might just save those as bonuses for this year's birthday event >.> ) before this July.

Because I enjoy writing them - but i'm also trying not to burn out over them either. Balance is key ^_^

(I really love the different levels of angst too, they're so fun to write!)
