(14- First kiss, 20- Breaking the Rules)

“You have to run.”

Don shook his head. “No. No way.”

“Don-”

“Monica, you’re crazy if you think I’m leaving you behind.”

“I have to do this,” she apologized, glancing towards the Oculus. “We’re risking a lot being her already. If I don’t save my dad now, then I’ll never exist. You’ll never have known me.”

“And if you do this, you’ll die!” he protested. “There’s got to be another way.”

“There isn’t,” she smiled and placed a hand on his cheek. “But if I do this, then you’ll remember me.”

She pressed her lips against his for a moment before stepping back.

“Run, Don, run.”

He watched as she took off toward the Oculus and her father.

“This is insane,” Evan Queen said once Don told him his idea.

“No, it’s not,” the speedster shook his head. “We can save her.”

“Don’t you remember the number one rule of the timeline?” Sara Diggle asked him.

“Don’t create anachronisms?”

“We don’t cross the timeline,” Jonas Hunter corrected. “Your parents have all told you about what happened with the Legion of Doom?”

“And Uncle Wally told us about Flashpoint,” Dawn reminded him. “This is going against everything our parents told us to do.”

“Monica’s mother broke time to save Amaya Jiwe,” Don shot back. “She was member of the team. Monica is too. There’s a way to save her. This is Monica we’re talking about. Can we really sit by and do nothing to save her?”

“If we do, then we could also negate her existence,” Sara sighed. “I love her like a sister, but Don, you have to think this through.”

“But we can find a way,” Don said confidently. “We’re Legends. That’s what we do, even if it means breaking the rules.”

“We all know you love her,” Evan told him. “Is she worth possibly shattering the timeline for?”

I’m sorry. More fluff in the future just needed this out of my skin. The codenames for the kids are Red Arrow (Evan Queen), Bluebird (Monica Snart) and Vortex (Don Allen) and Dust Devil (Dawn Allen) Also Don’s nickname for her is Monnie.

Don shifted his feet at the door He had texted Sara and leonard that he was coming. Don was already slightly scared of them because he liked Monica, but this was gonna be unbearable. Sara opened the door. “You texted us. Is something wrong?” Don said nothing and sat at the table. He looked like he’d been crying for hours. When both snart-lances had sat down, the inevitable questions came up. “Why you’d come without Monica kid,” Leonard asked worried. “Monica’s dead,” Don stated, looking like he was gonna cry again. Neither one of them said anything. “Tell us what happened.” Sara eventually said after what felt like an eternity. (A downside to being a speedster is this deja vu effect feels real.)

72 hours earlier: Don and Monica entered the military complex. It was exactly like in horror and sci-fi media. “Blubird. Vortex. Do you copy?” Don could hear Evan’s voice in his earpiece. “Copy Red Arrow. We’re venturing near the machine. Remind me again what it does.” “This thing will basically collapse the planet at the poles.” “Let’s hope we can disarm it before then,” Monica chirped to Evan. The traversed the complex with caution. “You know when I said alone time Allen, this isn’t what I had in mind.” Don blushed. “Hey your the one who said that we needed it Monnie.” Monica rolled her eyes. It was true, her and Don couldn’t find it, what with school and being superheroes. “Hey at least our dads haven’t figured it out,” Don said. Monica laughed. Although Barry and Leonard were friends now, the idea of them dating was still a weird idea to them. Hence the alone time. They came to a chamber outside the machine. Suddenly dozens of soliders emerged. “Well guess stealth’s out of the way,” Monica said pulling out her staff. Her and Don started fight off soliders 3 to 4 at a time. A streak of purple shot pass them. “I got this, go.” “Perfect timing sis,” Don said to his twin sister. He followed Monica into the chamber with the machine. He could see her typing frantically on the keypad. “Let me,” Don stated as he started rapidly typing. “The failsafe is there.” Don said, pointing to a panel. “Let me,” Monica said as pulled out some small tools. However her smirk soon went away as she motioned for him to take a look. Inside was a countdown for a bomb to activate. “It’s the entire complex,” Monica stated grimly. “With my powers, I could slow it down long enough for you guys to leave, but-” Monica trailed off. What happened next Don didn’t see coming, but if there was one thing he know, nobody would know. Monica kissed him. It was a I’m sorry kiss. They kissed lasted 20 seconds before she pulled away. Don sped out with his sister back to the jumpship. As the ship took off, Don watched as the entire complex was engulfed by blue light. He sped of to the cargo bay and let the tears out.

Now: Sara sat in complete silence as Don finished his story “Thank you for telling us kid,” leonard said quietly. Don nodded than sped back home. “I hope you come back Monnie. Just like Your Parents.” END

2. He usually is the one to bail his friend out when they get in trouble for superhero shenanigans.

Evan: Happy to be here.

Now Evan tell us a bit about yourself.

Evan: Certainly. I’m 21, I’m married;

Oh to whom are you married to?

Linda Danvers. Daughter of Supergirl.

That’s quite young don’t you think?

Evan: Considering all the complications in our lives, we decided to get it done early. We both waited until after 18 though.

Can’t argue with that. Any siblings?

Evan: 2 brothers actually. My dad had a kid with another woman before he became Green Arrow and met my mom. That’s my older brother William. I have a younger brother named Robbie.

So what’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to you.

Evan: when I 1st became Red Arrow, There was a lot of slander against vigilantes. However, my brother and I learned that a manager for this politician running against my dad had information on some dirty dealings that were happening. It was at this old warehouse. When I got there all I could find was a flash drive. I transferred the information to Robbie;

Wait you can do that!?

Evan: yeah I’m good with this stuff. Dad even states that I might even surpass my Uncle Curtis.

Huh. Anyway continue.

Evan: so turns out my dad and the others were headed to the warehouse as well. As i was scoping the area, there was a tarp covering something. Turns out the flash drive was a hit list of all heroes and vigilantes currently active. Since I couldn’t disable the bomb, I went to warn the team. My cover story was I was a teen inspired by the Green Arrow. Since it worked for Uncle Roy, I figured it’d work for me. Anyway, I was able to cover my dad when the bomb exploded. In the few seconds before everything went black, I thought that death would come and claim me. When I woke up, It’d been 6 weeks since the explosion. I was about 16.

Yikes.

Evan: Needless to say, it took lots of therapy, but I still have anxiety and nightmares about it.

Ok on a lighter note, your wedding.

Evan: considering the multitude of risks that come with a superhero wedding and that we live om different earths, Linda and I decided we’d get creative and be small. We found a chapel in th multiverse were if you’re married there it counts for all earths. We had our families be witnesses. My 2 brothers and my best friend Don were my groomsmen. Monica & Dawn were Linda’s Bridesmaids. It was the best day of my life. I was 20 then.

Name: Evan Thomas Queen

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Sandy blonde hair, green eyes. Kind of wiry. Usually has glasses, although he also goes with contacts sometimes.

Personality: Evan is shy. He’ll hang back from a crowd, and likes to keep to himself. But he always makes sure that everyone else feels comfortable in an environment. People think that he’s a leader because of his parents, but really he’s more comfortable being second or third in command.

Special Talents: Utter whiz at science and math. Oliver taught him how to shoot a bow and arrow, along with a little hand to hand. Also has significant first aid training.

Who they like better: Felicity.

Who they take after more: Oliver. Evan keeps a lot of stuff to himself, and it takes a lot to squeeze it out of him.

Personal Head canon: Evan has mild anxiety. It’s one of the things he doesn’t tell people about.
