Thankful so thankful for the reception to my fic thus far >v<

It's been a week of writing and I'm at 14k words which feels insane and the fact that it's seen nearly 2k visits is so humbling and kind!!

It feels like a good point to look back because we've now gotten past the setup and can take the story in many directions.

The original outline was 19 chapters but it's looking now more like 25, which at this pace is going to be like 36k+ words. So, um... Wish me luck!!!

Chapter 19 - Nyleth

This post is preemptive, but I feel like it needs to be said.

There is a reason that I haven't involved Ace in any relationships since I started this blog, and what some of you are doing now is that reason. It's just pestering right now - I understand, you like the ship, you want to share it - but that sort of heckling will eventually turn into hate. Maybe someone will have a bad day and something will set them off, who knows, but there is no "if" about it. This sort of thing never ends well, and unfortunately the hate is often put on innocent people who have nothing to do with anything.

When you do things like this you are taking something that I personally really enjoy, and that many other people also enjoy, and you are ruining it for us. How do you think it makes me feel, when I have to go apologize because some rabid fan has blown what I love way out of proportion and is hurting someone else because they don't feel the same way? Put yourself in my shoes for a second. It feels like my fault when things like this happen. This is embarrassing, and it's hurtful to me. I don't want ANYBODY receiving hate in the name of something I've done, on purpose or inadvertently, and that's where this is headed.

Whoever you people are who are doing this, if you don't calm down right fucking now you are going to ruin it for every single person in this fandom, including yourself. I will sever all public ties between my Ace and Evalynn. I will stop writing fics. I will stop answering prompts. I will refuse to entertain questions. And all the resentment and blame is going to fall on you.

Think about that. Think about how many people you're hurting.

I never intended for this to get this out of hand. It was something I've enjoyed and enjoyed talking with others about for the past several months without incident. But now I just feel like dropping it, going on hiatus, and crying in a corner.
