âAfter attendees noticed the absence of the Palestinian food vendor, many suggested boycotting and protesting at the event,â EUTB said. âTwo days prior to the event, we decided to prioritize the safety of all â Moshava, other vendors, and our guests â and postpone Moshavaâs appearance until a future event. We made it clear that Eat Up The Borders and Sunflower Philly would like to continue working with them in the future, and work together to learn how to address such a fragile situation. We offered to give Moshava 10 percent of our door sales and vendors offered to share a portion of their proceeds to a cause they were apart of.â
âWe were ignorant in our actions, and it was inexcusable,â EUTB added. âWe are in touch with leaders from the Jewish and Palestinian community to aid us in our growth and further the conversation. We are truly sorry to Moshava, and the Jewish and Palestinian communities. We look forward to listening, learning, and growing from this.â
The Jewish food truck gets disinvited due to threats of violence. Weâre not told who the threats came from, but if history and current events are any guide, those threats came from the misnamed pro-Palestinian side. But they arenât pro-Palestinian. Theyâre anti-Israel and anti-Jewish. Theyâve done nothing constructive for Palestinians, focusing all of their effort on harassing Jews and demonizing Israel.
With that in mind, why are EUTB officials apologizing to the Palestinian community, and what exactly are EUTB officials going to learn from them? How do they still have such limited awareness of the situation that theyâre equating Jews - who have been getting attacked in the streets - with Palestinians - who have been chanting âFrom the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free,â and âJews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning?â
