Back on my design bullshit since I’m still hitting a wall writing wise. And uhhhhh I’ve been fleshing out the bluu verse characters in fairytale au
Since uh this au is all roblox games and media not just forsaken.
Uhhh anyways current updated direction for these guys:
118o8 and her friends Yola and Euris were a close batch of trouble makers, though they didn’t manage to get too much attention in the kingdom they lived in. One day her two friends went missing, like they disappeared off the face of the earth, she tried to search for them, but had no luck. Without any backup, her troublemaking got her more and more unwanted attention, until one day she pissed off the wrong person aaaaand yeah cat curse. (It’s more of a mix of a snow leopard really.) unlike with Seven who decided to vent his rage via mindless destruction, eight decided to try and lay low, see if she can break this curse, and if not find somewhere to live quietly and maybe start a proper hunt for her friends. She traveled, then one day while hiding near a road to try and scavenge any cargo that falls off of wagons or carriages, she sees someone toss some bundle into the bushes. When she investigates she finds a blue ass baby.
She takes in Bluudud, because she clocks this baby is cursed and also unwanted considering the tossed off of a moving wagon thing, but now she’s responsible for a kit and despite getting better at hunting she doesn’t exactly know what she’s doing. It doesn’t help that not long after she starts to feel like she’s being followed, but the only glimpses she gets are splots of green or a faint buzz in the air. about a month later she’s had enough and confronts this anomoly, and meets Yeslo. Yeslo admits they’re following her because they have plot amnesia and she seems familiar to them, eight doesn’t recognize them at all but since they offer to use their ability’s to help care for her and bluudud she allows them to stay.
Aaaand any further gets into oneshot spoilers soo yeah. Will any other bluu world characters show up? No clue! I haven’t done a deep dive on what the game has been up to lately so at most they’d be Easter eggs.
Uhhh other things of note: Euris worked in the Royal court before going missing, and he has a very polite way of speaking. Yola playfully calls him an old man because of it. Yola I think worked in town, probably as an event planner or something involving hosting parties and stuff. Eight just worked freelance (they’re all older then when seven first got cursed I think)
I’m playing with the ides of yeslo using they/she/he pronouns? Mostly they/them. No promises on if that stays I’m trying to look into other fanworks to see what the vibe is before saying fuck it we ball and doing my own thing.
Yeslo is now offically a temporal anomoly! In that I mean wonderland was involved in how they ended up like this. And wonderland is the origins of time manipulation and dimension warping magic soooo, yeah, anomoly. Which means if they don’t find s way to stabilize they could explode. That’s fun.
Honestly I want the tone for this oneshot to be like? Sillier? Like it has its serious moments but bluuverse looks to have a much more comedic tone so I want to reflect that in this. I think there’ll be a lot more comedic moments here than in Seven’s story but I can’t say for sure until it’s done.
Personally I like playing with this as a sort of contrast to seven and Noli’s story. Eight was a young adult when she got cursed, and while trying to be more mature about this she’s still struggling. She travels and lays low, but doesn’t seek out a place to belong, she just wants somewhere safe to rest. Yeslo meanwhile is the court jester to Noli’s king theme. (And dolor is the knight I guess) they don’t want the attention of a group or validation they just want answers, and are willing to stalk this lady for them lol.
And bluudud is kind of just vibing. Not sure how making him a gamer will translate to a fairytale setting, gues he’s good at cards and board games? Very competitive though, idk it’s all wip
