webster’s dilemma
thinking of eugene jackson dying literally in the dark.... not only did he spend his last minutes in an obscured damp basement unable to see anything, he also knew no peace at the end.... as much as roe tried to comfort him, what he was feeling physically + emotionally combined with everyone's agitation got to be too much. band of brothers portrays the desperation upon facing death so well.... the men being torn between comforting their friends in their last moments vs. the overwhelming chaos of the war zone (see hoobs death for example)

I genuinely hope Babe got to tell Eugene's sister this. She wrote Dick and he gave a typical Dick response of telling her about the patrol, he was a good solider....and the added odd 'I'll visit you with my friend from high school'. He also gave her Malarkey and Bain's address, so I genuinely hope she got to talk to Bill and Babe at some point because this would mean the world coming from them.
