"If Iâm associated with you, would you say you could influence me or vice versa?"
"Yes."

@gregnas-the-grouch
Things appeared to be entirely normal when Elizabeth reached the house. That was a relief. But what was going on inside? No lights were on, as far as Elizabeth could see. Even so, she couldnât afford to take any chances. Tentatively, she turned the handle. Finding it already unlocked, she cautiously leaned on it, making as little noise as possible.
The door was closed with a soft click, and Elizabeth made a slow sweep of her surroundings. The house was dark and eerily still. Save for some flickering lights in the kitchen, on the other side of the house. The Gothitelleâs chest tightened at the sight of it.
Oh, dear. As expected, someone was still awake. And they mustâve been aware of her absence. She reminded herself to stay calm, and say what Nysa told her to. Showing nervousness would only heighten her parentsâ suspicions. Taking a deep breath, she held it in her chest and soothed her own nerves in silence.
Until a calm voice startled her out of the process.
âElizabeth?â
Elizabethâs breath hitched in her throat, if but for a moment. Her soft gaze trailed to meet that of another, straight ahead in the living room.
Seated in a plush armchair, with ocean eyes peering out from behind a pair of reading glasses, was a much older Gothitelle. He had been waiting for her for quite a while, it seemed. His expression was not unkind, however, and he eased himself into a standing position when Elizabeth drew nearer to him.
âHi, Dad.â She spoke, an apologetic smile working its way into her features. âI apologize for coming home late. Iâve been with Nysa.â Lifting his glasses from his nose, her father stepped closer to inspect her face. Despite her nervous, racing thoughts, Elizabeth held firm under the scrutiny. ââŠI assume sheâs helped you with what transpired this month?â he asked.
He got a nod in response. âWe figured it out. It took us a while, but we found something that worked. Iâm perfectly fine.â
Elizabeth could feel her shoulders relax when the elder Gothitelle sighed, his eyelids lowered. He seemed convinced. âI just want to make sure youâre being safe out there, especially at night. Your mother and I were very worried about you.â âDonât worry,â Elizabeth chuckled softly, âIâve been careful. Everythingâs fine.â
âMmm, nice try.â He teased, raising a brow with a faint smile. Elizabeth stifled another small laugh as she drew her father into a gentle hug, which he happily reciprocated.
Her attention was diverted upon hearing more familiar voices nearby. Looking towards the sound, she moved closer to it. âIs thatâŠ?â
When she entered the kitchen, Elizabeth found her older siblingsâFelix and Rosinaâengaged in a pleasant conversation with their mother. She was briefly taken by surprise, until a bloom of happiness shooed it away. They finally came home for the holidays! And they mustâve known of her absence, too.
Felix caught sight of his sister first, and his lips immediately turned up in a bright smile. He swept her into a warm hug, and Rosina joined in. âWhereâve you been?â the former asked, âWe were so excited to see you and you were nowhere to be found!â
âI was busy, sorry.â Elizabeth smiled, only for Felix to hold her in one arm and gently ruffle her hair. âAhh, you know Iâm just messing with you~â âFelix~â His younger sisterâs smile widened, a lilt of amusement in her voice as she gently brushed his hand away. This earned a snort of laughter from both him and Rosina. Of course, it was all in good nature.
âIâve really missed you two.â Elizabeth admitted, after fixing her bangs. The smile on her face was⊠quite sad.
âSo did we.â Came Rosinaâs reply, her eyes softening. âItâs really been a while.â
âWeâve all got some catching up to do,â Felix beamed. âBut seriously, where did you go? You were gone for hours, from what weâve heard.â
And so began a small family discussion. Only briefly touching on the subject of Elizabethâs disappearance, much to her unspoken relief.
It would be some time before everyone went to bed. Once again, the house fell silent.
Elizabeth was settled comfortably under the blankets, yet her mind buzzed with activity. While she was glad her friends could return home safely, her concern for the ghostly siblings clung strongly to her heart.
What was happening now?
What would the outcomes of the situation be?
Was their destined fight already taking place?
She could only guess.
Her busy thoughts couldnât keep her for long, though. For once she drifted, Elizabeth finally succumbed to the hands of sleep.
Initially, she was greeted with nothing. An empty, dark void. Nothing more.
She was alone.
But only for a short time.
Shadowy tendrils crept through the abyss, with a wispy substance like smoke. They trailed and danced along her skin, only to retreat at the slightest touch. Yet they would return whenever she stopped. They formed odd shapes and coiled about her fingers, until they were suddenly yanked back into the fathoms below.
A rumbling force made the Gothitelleâs body tremble.
One after another, she was bombarded with horrifying images and situations. Some of which she was involved in, others she simply beared witness to. She wasnât sure which was worse. Deafening roars and shrieks filled her ears, no matter how she tried to block them out. It was incredibly disturbing for a dream; so much so that Elizabeth even stopped to question the reality of it all. But she couldnât even hear her own voice.
Despite so many things going on at the same time, the Gothitelle could still distinguish certain entities, namely Yemir, Eudai and Whisper as they materialized and vanished erratically. Pain was evident in some way, shape or form each time she saw them. Other emotions like rage and bloodlust plagued their faces. Of course, it was hard to tell with Eudai. Altogether, it was just terrible. And on top of that, a strange sense of paralysis was working its way up Elizabethâs body. Oh, how she dreaded that feeling. Being unable to move. Unable to escape.
And amongst all the madness, a shifting form drew ever closer through the shadows. The large, bulky silhouette was quickly revealed to be a battered Dusknoir, with black ichor oozing from the great maw that was her stomach.
Whisper.
The wraithâs rancid face was mere inches from hers, a twisted grin stretching her mouth to an impossible degree. Bony fingers curled around Elizabethâs neck as the decaying Dusknoir stared with an intense, unsettling red eye. Delirious glee written all over her features. Her raspy voice echoed loudly as she uttered something just as disconcerting.
âWakey wakey, little sister~â
Elizabeth sprung awake with a sharp gasp, bolting upright. Her breathing was shallow, mildly labored. As if she had actually been grabbed at the throat in this dimension. Alas, it was only a dream. A horrible dream, she thought.
But that wasnât her only concern. She had woken up to what felt like an earth tremor, shaking the house considerably. It didnât last very long, but it was enough to startle one from their sleep.
So it wasnât just a part of her dream⊠it had happened in the real world, too. But what caused it? She had a sneaking suspicion it wasnât an average coincidence.
No. Something was behind this.
Elizabeth slipped a hand into her soft hair, lifting the bangs that fell over her right eye. But suddenly she stopped, and blinked slowly. She felt something unusual. Something that didnât belong.
Withdrawing her slender fingers, she lifted her gaze to find them encased in a dark, supple, all too familiar glove.
Oh, yes. She knew who this was from.
Somewhere, in the depths of her mind, Elizabeth called out a name.
âEudai? Are you thereâŠ?â
Oddly enough, there was no response. No presence, no voice. She was in full control of her own body, too.
âThatâs strange.â She muttered aloud, only to frown a little at her own voice. It was rather monotonous, but soft. It lingered like a whisper.
Something wasnât right.
Sliding out from under the blankets, Elizabeth quietly made her way over to a mirror on the wall. Heels clicked underneath her, she noticed. And when the star reader could finally see herself, her eyes grew wide.
This⊠this was the same way she looked earlier today. When Eudai was in control. But, Eudai wasnât even there. It was all the more evident when she looked closer at her eyes. The black sclera and scars were still there, alright, but the irises were Elizabethâs natural blue. And the pupils themselves, they were normal. Her gaze wasnât as intense as Eudaiâs, but it still felt a bit reminiscent to his. Perhaps that was because of her eyes as a whole.
Even so. Was this really happening?
It wasnât another dream, and this was confirmed when the ghostly entity heard voices in the hall. Talking about the event that just took place. And a strange, unrelenting pressure they couldnât seem to shake from their shoulders.
Uh oh. Her family was awake. And, eventually, they would want to come in and check on her.
Elizabeth would not have this.
Not in her current state.
She didnât know what to do at first, as panic bubbled in her chest. But then there was a spark. An idea. She quickly took action, gently lifting herself off the floor to hover. Taking off her hat and cape, she hid them in her closet and grabbed a robe. Hopefully it would be enough to hide the rest of her as she snuck back under the covers with the utmost care to not make a sound.
Just then, a voice called from the other side of the bedroom door. âElizabeth? Are you alright in there?â That was her mother.
Now, Elizabeth wasnât sure how to respond without revealing her voice. So she kept silent and brushed her bangs over closed eyes, simply deciding to feign sleep. Since no reply reached her ears, her mother slowly opened the door and peered into the room, while her husband stood behind her.
To them, it appeared as if their daughter was asleep. Nevertheless, Alina went in to check on her.
âIâm surprised she hasnât woken up.â She admitted softly, lightly stroking Elizabethâs head. Piero could only sigh, responding in a similar tone. âAs long as sheâs okay. That tremor couldâve been worse.â
âMhm.â
âI still canât quite figure out where that pressure is coming from. Itâs⊠very strange, to say the least. And itâs particularly strong in this room.â
âYou donât think it has anything to do with Elizabeth, do you?â
â⊠Probably not. Chances are it has ties with that tremor, but I may be wrong. For now, weâll see what becomes of it tomorrow.â
Luckily for Elizabeth, the pair left almost as soon as they came, closing the door behind them. Once she was sure they had gone back to bed, she swiftly rose from hers and returned to the closet.
Naturally, she put the robe away and replaced it with her cape. However, she couldnât help but pause as she held the hat in her hands. The hatâŠ
There was something⊠oddly comforting about it. She couldnât quite explain it, but the sensation she felt was very much there. Placing it back on her head, the Gothitelle turned on her heel to face the windows.
It was too dangerous to stay here. She could feel immense power and pressure under her skin, just begging to be released. And this was not the place to give in.
She would have to leave once more.
At the door, she saw no one peeking in to watch her. Good.
Soundlessly, Elizabeth opened the window and floated out. A simple snap of her fingers would set the lock back in place from the other side. And with that, the hatted specter flew off into the night. Not daring to leave a trace of her presence behind.
She sought out a wide open space, where potential damage would be minimal. Meadows and fields were best. Thankfully, there were a good number of these in Nevora. And soon enough, Elizabeth discovered a quiet meadow with plenty of room for her to expel her pent up energy. And plenty of distance from her village.
Before she would proceed, however, the Gothitelle checked her surroundings with a single psychic sweep. No signs of life to be found. She was safe.
With that in mind, Elizabeth allowed every muscle in her body to relax and go still. Until her form began to tremble uncontrollably. She drew deep, shuddering breaths. Seconds later, her body unleashed a powerful, unrelenting flow of energy that dispersed like the rolling tide. Lavender Psychic kicked up powdery snow, blowing it across the hills and far off into the distance. Bolts of electricity lashed out, threatening to split nearby trees if they happened to be close by. The ground rumbled under Elizabethâs immense Pressure, and any local Pokemon who could sense it hastily fled the area. That is, if they hadnât been floored by it.
How could someone like her possess such raw power? It was very unnerving.
Elizabeth stretched her limbs with a subtle groan. It felt good to finally let that energy go. But that didnât shake the qualms she had for her new form. How was she going to reverse this? Was it permanent? Temporary? A situation of âone thing by day, another by nightâ? Who knew.
Once that extra energy was expelled and fully dissipated, Elizabethâs powers subsided and her Pressure let up considerably. Lowering herself to the ground, Elizabeth landed with nary a peep, and lifted her gaze to the sky. She had nowhere to go, really. Unless she felt like wandering and exploring the world, perhaps. But Elizabeth was too concerned with this strange predicament on her hands. And it was quite late.
There was the possibility of going to Nysa and asking for help. But hadnât she helped her a lot today? Would it be rude to ask for more? The sorceress mustâve been in bed by now, too.
She couldnât help thinking about that dream she had, either. What did it mean? Was there anything she could glean from it besides pure madness, pain, and destruction? What if it had something to do with the siblingsâ present situation?
Elizabeth was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt a presence in her vicinity. It came to her like a drop in the water, waves rippling out towards her. Looking around, it took her only a moment to pinpoint the exact location of its owner.
The spectral Gothitelle slowly turned her head to the side, blue eyes peering over her shoulder. Her voice was still quite soft in tone, but it was a bit deeper and very audible as it lingered on her lips with a slight echo.
âYou can come out now. I know youâre there.â
{ Elizabeth is now available for asks. }
Iâm challenging myself to draw for people I like watching or have spoken to frequently over the course of my blog. Since Christmas fell apart for me I feel that I didnât really get to show everyone how much I appreciate them during the holidays. These will happen off and on till I get them all done. I donât even know if Iâll finish everything before the month is out, but Iâm gonna try. The first two pictures go to @ask-nebulousmeadows , @gregnas-the-grouch , and @guideofthetornworld Forgive me if theyâre a bit... lackluster compared to what I can do normally. Itâs been an off couple months. But please enjoy them! I wanted to do little doodle cards for everyone >//<
Whisperâs Shopping List
âFun as it is to prance about with killer hybrids or make my town look like the loveliest little fishing town youâve ever seen. I think it might be prudent if I refill my coffers firstâ, the corpse grumbled, pulling out her Grumpig piggy bank and shaking it, not even a cent dropping out. Letting out a loud screech, Whisper chucked it at Eudai, the hatted wraith slightly tilting his head to the side as it flung past his head and into the wall. Shattering into a thousand pieces. âWas that really necessary?â, Eudai complained. Pulling out a hand broom and dustbin from his pockets. The ghost went about diligently sweeping Whisperâs mess as the eldest sister fumed over her financial situation. âWhy did dad have to give Yemir all the money?! She can barely count past tenâ, Whisper hissed, ânow I have no choice but to resort to thievery!â Eudai paused upon hearing Whisper saying that, his head turning to face Whisper with brows raised high. â... Eh, who am I kidding? Iâd be stealing, even if I was stinking rich!â Whisper laughed.Â
All the while, Eudai cleaned up the mess Whisper made, dumping the porcelain waste into a trash bin before turning to face his sister once more. âMight I recommend siphoning currency through the internet? Itâs easy to cover oneâs tracks and negates the risk of injury to oneâs self. Should the law enforcement arrive. I could get us started with an ample balance in no timeâ, Eudai explained, though Whisper seemed less than pleased at the prospect. âWhat? No robbing banks? Holding rich people hostage or even scamming saps out of their hard earned cash?! Boring!... But I guess beggars canât be choosers. Fine, but you better be raking in the dosh soon!â, Whisper growled as she pulled out a sheet of paper before handing it to Eudai.
âHere, I hate lists, but youâre going shopping with meâ, Eudai had a surprised look as he fumbled with the paper. Taking a moment to recollect himself, he noticed the paper was completely blank. âWhat? You expect me to write it?â, Whisper laughed as Eudai merely narrowed his eyes at her. Fortunately, he always came prep;ared. Rummaging through his pouches, the wraith produced a blue pen, holding it in earnest as he waited for Whisper to give him her little list. â... How much shit do you have in there?â Whisper grumbled, somewhat vexed by those pouches, only to shrug her shoulders. Not particularly caring for an answer.
âWeâll need wood, but the bordering forest has grown rather sick. So weâll have to cut down from more lively woodlandsâ, Whisper remarked. Eudai wrote it down, only to pause, remembering how the trees looked so sickly on his way to Whisperâs village. âI have noticed that. Any idea why the plant life has been contaminated?â Eudai inquired, only for Whisper to shake her head. âNot a clue, my bro. Itâs been like that for a few months now. I could look into it, but I really donât care either way. Helps keep out unwanted pestsâ, Whisper chuckled, her eyes narrowed. âAnyway, we also need your mechanical bits and all the other essentials a working civilization needs to function! But, above all else, we need new recruits! And I think I know the perfect placeâ Whisper smirked, her eyes turning slowly towards the map of Unova plastered on the law. Virbank City, to be more specific.Â
âOne thing I love about the homeless. Theyâre so⊠agreeable~â

âMmâ, was all Eudai could utter. Staring at the interior of the building with much distaste. The wooden halls and floors, the olden rugs and drapes. It all had a feeling of antiquity to it, which Eudai wasnât too comfortable with. That wasnât the problem the hatted wraith found himself with. No, it was something else. Dust. Dust as far as the eye could see! Every muscle in Eudaiâs body twitched. The mere sight made his mind roar in frustration. However, he had little to contemplate this as a lanky, decayed arm wrapped around his shoulder. His body tensing up as he could feel Whisperâs rancid breath roll over his face. âApologies. I had to tend to the rabble outsideâ, the ghoul chuckled. Her eyes twitched ever so slightly, eyeing her small brother with a twisted grin. âEnjoying the decor? I admit Iâve been a bit lazy with the upkeep. Being away for so long, itâs just so hard to find good help these days, isnât it?â, Whisper rapeseed, just chortling as Eudai pulled himself away from her fetid grasp.
âHardlyâ, Eudai scoffed, pulling a cloth from his hip pouch before wiping his shoulders down. âI could reprimand you about wasting my time at this point. But I realize youâll only derive more joy from it, so I shall wait for your offer. Pointless as itâll likely beâ, Eudai said in a dry tone. Whisperâs eyes widened a bit. âSarcasm? From you? I guess they can teach hats new tricks after all, heh.â Whisper seemed amused at this prospect. Even proud. Which only served to confuse Eudai further. âBut yes, my little offerâ, Whisper mumbled, twirling around Eudai before plopping herself down on a musty old couch. âSee, running a village is hard. Real hard. When most of your followers have been brainwashed, it makes them difficult to become more⊠independentâ, Whisper mumbled with a pang of disappointment.
âBut you? Youâre smart. Know how to tinker with machines and are powerful to boot. A useful cast of traits, I say why let it go to waste. When it has so much more use for a more important quest. One like my own?â, the corpse said with a wide grin. Eudai stared at Whisper in silence. His mouth curled ever so slightly downward. As much of a scowl as one could get from Eudai. âBefore you go any further, I would like to know what you have to offer. I hope itâs worth the headacheâ, the wraith stated in his usual cold tone. Whisper merely chortled, slapping a skeletal hand atop her bony knee. âOf course! I wouldnât be so cruel as to deny my brother his fair share. I have a few things on offer. For starters, I can provide supplies, resources for the ailing engineer in needâ, Whisperâs smile widened, the cracked, leathery skin peeling off her cheeks distracted Eudai. His distaste for it became apparent as Whisper droned on. âYouâll have to be specific on what you need. Iâm not a nerd like those geeks at OPP. So a list will be nice. Preferably simple.
âOPP provided me with ample supplies, yet never deemed it fit to mess with me as well. Respectfully more than anything elseâ Eudai responded plainly, failing to see Whisperâs leverage over this. âAh, this is true. But⊠have they ever let you experiment on live subjects before?â Whisper inquired. Eudaiâs widened slightly. It was true, OPP paraded a sense of morality, however misguided it was in his eyes. Whisperâs smile became less sincere and more malicious. âI can provide you with all the test subjects you could ever need⊠within reason, of course. I can only kidnap so many people before it starts to draw attention. Which I really donât need right nowâ Whisper grunted with a bit of a snarl before returning to her more capricious nature.
âBut thatâs only the icing on the cake. I know thereâs two things bothering you right now. Something I feel you may not be entirely willing to confessâ Whisper hissed lightly, Eudai clenched his fist slightly as a spark of electricity flew out of his body. He said nothing, merely waiting for Whisper to continue. âOne, you remember that young woman you possessed, Elizabeth, if Iâm not mistaken?â Eudai turned his head slightly to the side as Whisperâs pupils locked in on her brotherâs face. Like a scavenger eyeing a delicious meal. âYou didnât know that would happen, did you? Turning that woman into an avatar of your power⊠and inheriting something from her in return.â Whisper paused, taking note of Eudaiâs eyes as they darted back and forth in deep thought.Â
âItâs why you spared her, didnât you? Just as you corrupted her. A small bit of her left with you in return! You had no reason to spare her. She was weak, vulnerable. Completely at your mercy! How very illogical for someone like you. Enough that it, dare I say, frightens you?â The corpse gurgled shrilly, bits of ichor dripping from her face and open wounds. Eudai merely frowned at Whisper in silence, avoiding eye contact the whole time. âThought so. Tell you what, I can help you manage your possessions in the future. For ours doesnât come without risks! As for the other⊠How long have you been hunting for an Uxie?â Whisper said with a dead serious look on her face. Eudaiâs face lifted up, a hint of surprise spilling through. âHow did you-â, before he could complete his sentence, Whisper cut him off. â-Know? Iâm the big sister here! Yemir may have muscles, but I keep an eye on everyone. I know youâve been hankering for a hunk of Uxie think meat. Just as Yemir hungers for flesh and I lust for sorrow. You crave knowledge above all else! Itâs your meat and drink. Your very reason for existence! I can help you find one, even give you the means and people to do it as well. Sounds good?â Eudai said nothing, but Whisper already had her claws sunk into his back.
â... What do you want in return?â Eudai inquired, his face becoming more relaxed, less tense as his powers simmered down. âOh, nothing muchâ, Whisper said in a sing-song voice, her fake innocence more to just get on Eudaiâs nerves than anything else. âI just require your skills and services. When I call for you, I expect you to be there. When I expect results, results shall be made! Beyond that, do whatever you want to your heartâs desires! My town is now your town and if you feel like taking a few of my followers for whatever twisted fantasy you feel like fulfilling. Well, far be it from me to deny you such pleasure⊠do we have a deal?â Whisper stretched out a skeletal limb, her bony, rigid hand opened for Eudai to shake. After a few moments of consideration. Eudai wrapped his soft cloth around his hand before clasping it firm around Whisperâs. âWe have a deal.â
Lending a Hand 3
The hours passed on as the two were locked in a deep discussion. For once, Whisper seemed to be as genuinely serious as Eudai was. A welcomed moment for Eudai as the two bounce ideas off each other. âIt seems you have quite the list. Seems youâve been falling behind on several objectivesâ Eudai mused, perusing over the list Whisper made as the corpse merely grumbled. âSuch is the pain that comes with moving. Doesnât help Iâm basically starting from scratch. Having lost most of my previous followers due to an⊠unfortunate incidentâ Whisper coughed lightly into her hand as Eudai stared at his elderly sister intensely. âYou mean after you tried to take over the world?â Eudai stated bluntly. âIt was an honest mistake! Besides, itâs not entirely my fault. If that decrepit bastard, Sinaldo, never possessed me. None of that would have happened in the first placeâ Whisper huffed, crossing her arms. Eudai remained silent for a moment before returning his attention to the paper in his hand.
âMore than anything, it seems you suffer from organizational issues. Not surprising, given your chaotic nature. Iâve compiled a list of-â âUgh, no lists! I hate that shitâ Whisper yelled, her annoyance practically palpable. âJust break it down for me in more biteable piecesâ, the corpse chuckled. Eudai merely shook his head for a bit. âFine. For starters. Youâre sorely lacking in resources, be it material, financial or personnel. Forget compensating me with my own resources, you barely have enough to keep this town running for more than a few months, at best.â Whisper seemed insulted by this, about to raise her voice, before reconsidering. â... Eh, fair enough.â
âSecond: Your town is in rather poor shape itself. No doubt a product of the poor leadership it once fell under before your crazed vision held sway over it. Being demented is no excuse for lacking a backup planâ, Eudai stated explicitly, Whisper narrowed her eyes at the younger sibling, but let him continue. âAside from your followers and that disgusting creature I see skulking around the pier. Do the rest of your inhabitants have any sort of formal training in melee or ranged combat? What of tube buildings? They are frail, I can practically hear the structures heaving in agony under their own weight. If your enemies find you, which they likely will in due time. Youâll have to start over. Which only delays your progress with your own personal goal. One simply canât hijack smaller settlements forever. People will notice. You may be immortal, but youâre certainly not invincible.â
â... Anything else?â Whisper asked, her usually cheery and sadistic tone had been swept under by something more bitter and spiteful. âWell, in regards to that creature I mentioned before. Atakapa, you called it? Where did you find such an amalgamation of species? This certainly isnât your handiwork. The genetic splicing and craftsmanship is peerless, almost as if it were natural in its own rightâ Eudai commented, his hand raised to his chin as he could only admire the quality of the work. Even if it resulted in such a loathsome beast. âOh, it? I found it not too far away from a crashed vehicle a couple months back. Poor thing was hungry, so I had to offer it some warm food and a place to stay. It certainly doesnât seem to mind guarding the peer. But the appetite on that one. Itâd make Yemir blush with how much it feeds⊠Though, if I were to guess. Atakapa was simply a present left behind from our mutual benefactors. Iâm sure you know who Iâm referring toâ Whisper chuckled ever so slightly as Eudaiâs eyes narrowed. âThe Cadavers? Are you so certain itâs a good idea keeping one of their projects within your town? We have no idea howâd they react to you kidnapping itâ Eudai retorted, brows raised high as he tried to contemplate Whisperâs logic. Incomprehensible as it may seem at times. Whisper merely smiled, tapping a cheek bone with an index finger. âAh, but you know as well as I do that if our unseen friends truly had a problem with this. There would be nothing to stop them from simply coming over here and kicking my assâ Whisper cackle, as if being roughed up by these mysterious entities was more amusing than anything else. âNo, I feel like theyâve left me Atakapa on purpose! For what reason, I have no clue. Gotta say, adopting more murderous experiments to my little cause leaves me tickled pinkâ, Whisper laughed, making Eudai scooch away from her ever so slightly.
âWell, even if you do manage to sway more of those mutants to your cause. You still have one last concern to deal with. Your vendetta with Fenrisâ, was all Eudai could say before Whisper hissed at him. Her withered tendrils suddenly twisting and writhing with life. âIâm well aware of that project, Eudai. Or have you forgotten heâs the one responsible for my condition in the first place?!â, Whisper snapped, the ichor dripping from her mouth more vigorously. âI have not. Iâm simply pointing out that your progress behind such an endeavor is sorely lacking. Especially for a wraith born with a thirst for vengeance for said deity.â Eudaiâs statement was blunt, but to the point. Something ever Whisper could not deny as her eyes softened a bit.
âFine, you want to know the truth? Itâs been more difficult to track him down than I thought. Let alone learn anything about him. Nothing but nippy zombies and abandoned mining townsâ, Whisper growled, her face devolved into a grimace as she pressed her bony claws into her decayed face. âRather difficult to track something that originated from a completely different dimensionâ, Whisper grunted, her annoyance palpable as Eudai nodded his head.
âYou would be correct. However, just because heâs not natural to this world, doesnât mean his presence doesnât leave an impact as well. Everything leaves a trace, including usâ, the Mismanoir stated plainly. âIn the end, which path you choose to follow is ultimately up to you. Makes no difference to me. For your goals ultimately serve mine as well.â Whisper froze, her eyes widened as she stared at Eudai. His face cold and robotic as he glared at her from underneath the shadow of his mask. Both eyes had become glowing orbs, piercing into Whisperâs mind.
Savel @ Whisper: "This... is so strange. Whenever I meet someone new, I can usually sense SOME Joy within them... but with you, I can't sense any!" Savel looked positively alarmed at that, "are you okay? Do you need help?"
Whisper stared down at the Haunter, her face stuck between a smile and a sneer. No thanks in part to half her face deprived of flesh. Exposing the sickly yellow bone underneath. When she spoke, her voice sounded so shrill, yet deep at the same time. âAm I okay? Do I need help?â The corpse mused over this, like it where some sort of sick joke. âOh, I suppose I do need helpâ, Whisper loomed over the ghost, eyes twitching constantly. âWhisper is in dire need of help. Oh yes, so very sick and ill is she! Both from herself and others, but nobody to heal what ails me!â She had an almost mournful face to her, yet, as Eudai floated near his corpse of a sister. He could only narrow his eyes at the deranged ghoul.
However, he noticed her twitching had become more intense. The ghoul stared down at the little Haunter, her voice trailed off into a low gurgle. Driblets of blackened ooze dripped down her mouth like a faucet had been left on. âYou...â, Whisper trailed off, her body began to spasm more and more. Hand clenching and unclenching, as if she wanted to suddenly maim Savel with that Heatran claw of hers. âBy Fenrisâ rotting soul, why are you so gross?! Gross! YOUâRE GROSS!â The ghoul shrieked, flecks of ichor flying out of her mouth as her body suddenly floated up at an awkward angle before bolting off back to the town hall. Shrieking like a maddened beast the whole way there.
Eudai stared at the entire event that transpired before him. A frown on his face as some of his sisterâs unsavory liquids had managed to land on his shoulder. Reaching into his pocket, the hatted wraith pulled out a cloth before gingerly wiping the ick off his being. âI do apologize for my sisterâs behavior,â the ghost stated, pulling out another cloth as he handed it to Savel. Just in case she got any on her. âShe is... socially maladjusted. However, I am impressed. Iâve been yearning to have that sort of power over her since I existed. Of course, that is assuming you intended to send her fleeing, no?â
