The Kingdom of Knowledge was Elina’s first and only true home. Although her current house was in the clouds of the mighty kingdom, her original home was on the Coast and was where she was exploring now. She walked along the poorer area of the Coast where it was quiet and the streets were clear. It was far from the castle and very humble in comparison to the rest of the kingdom. Although LE did not live in that area as a child, she had a friend who did and sometimes she would visit that friend’s family. No one here connected her face to her reputation as a paid murderer; the townsfolk really weren’t as smart as they thought they were. People working their butts off for their families here were clearly not people who deserved it. LE always found something sincere in people who worked hard to protect those they cared about but also understood the sincerity could wear off with too much pressure.
While walking, she spotting a girl who she didn’t recall ever seeing in the area before. The girl dressed modestly and looked as though she didn’t wish to be noticed but LE could tell that her rags were made of fine cotton and her dress by professional seamstresses. This was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, or rather, a sheltered sheep in the clothing of a mangy wolf. The girl didn’t cover her face, perhaps believing no one would recognize her, but LE did. This face was increasingly familiar. Living in the mysterious sky of the Knowledge Kingdom, LE had seen its princess before. She had never spoken to her but the cold and fragile beauty of the princess was unmistakeable. From her soft sparkling eyes to her cute button mouth, the fairy princess was perfect and looking more and more out of place every second.
LE approached the princess from behind and tapped her on the shoulder and waited for the other girl to turn. Seeing her face was shocking; it was like seeing a goddess. Princess Silvermist was a celebrity and a stunning one at that. LE didn’t particularly care for her status however, she was more curious as to why this girl was in the poorest part of her own kingdom. “My apologies, Princess,” LE spoke somewhat cynically but quietly “I was just wondering what a girl like you might be doing around these parts?”
