so umm... i want to convert but im a little nervous about getting in touch with a rabbi. should i just call up the synagogue near me? should i try to find out a specific rabbi's contact information and call them directly? is it acceptable to send a message to the temple's Facebook page instead of calling? should i just show up at the synagogue and talk to whoever's there in person? what should i say? when is it most appropriate to make first contact? (y'all can dm me btw if you want) thanks
hey do you mind tagging that last post as unreality
Sure!! Also I’d recommend blocking the spn can’t die if I don’t let it tag, I’m back on my bullshit
hello cb, could you please tag the fake fandom discourse stuff? fully aware that it's intended to be a joke, i'd just prefer you tag it as smthn so i can blacklist it bc it's a bit upsetting for me - you're under no obligation to but i'd appreciate if you did, thank you for this!
Sure dude!! I’ll tag it as unreality :):)
Can I get some advice about how to approach the rabbis after services? I have social anxiety and I’m worried about approaching them plus it seems like they’re always talking to someone and then leave

I’m graduating high school in may and i recently (like a week and a half ago) started attending a reform synagogue and starting the conversion process. Should I invite my rabbi to my graduation party or would that be inappropriate?
i am converting soon and i think i should probably get a gift for my sponsoring rabbi, and possibly for the two other rabbis on my beit din. should i give gifts at all? what's an appropriate gift to give?
I just went to my first Shabbat service and it just happened to have a Bat Mitzvah. There were a lot more people there than usual from what I gather (the people behind me said something about it) and I didn’t really get a chance to talk to the Rabbi because he was busy. My question is when is appropriate to attempt to talk to him? And what is the etiquette I should use? The synagogue I’m attending is conservative, if that’s relevant.
