You can’t cleanse the negative energy of slave labor from your crystals. I’d like to point out that crystal shops that never change their stock of geological phenomena, and always have the same type and/or shape of rocks in stock are sketchy, and are clearly focused on having those items in stock rather than making sure their supply chains are ethical and free of abuse. I mean, basically every shop sells clear quartz because it’s the most common mineral out there; but if the shop constantly has, say, celestite (which almost always comes from Madagascar) and it’s never low in stock despite there always being a lot of foot traffic in the shop… you have to wonder why that is.
Also, avoid buying lapis (or any other gem) if it was sourced from Afghanistan, because the lapis industry over there funds the Taliban. If you don’t know where it was sourced, and the shop can’t tell you; don’t buy it.
Also, a tip for people wanting to get into earth magic, nature worship, drawing from the energy of the earth, etc: Go rock hunting on a forest trail, use rocks from the sidewalk, go to the beach with a mask and dive for rocks and fossils! It’s a lot of fun, it connects you with nature better than buying “crystals” from a store, and the energy will be stronger and more aligned with your own if you use stones from areas special to you. They’re also free. If you like smooth stones, may I again emphasize the beach; beach rocks are naturally tumbled by Mother, Herself. Or you can get a rock tumbler; they cost about 50–200 dollars secondhand.
