She shyly holds out the box of delicate chocolates she put time and effort into making to Akira while also handing over a bouquet of Red Roses, Red Carnations, and White Orchids. She... she hopes that this can get her feelings across well about how important he is to her even though he may already know it.
" I... I made this for you. I hope you like it. " - sumire c:
It's a little too much to process, in the matter of the variety of gifts bestowed upon Akira from his kouhai. The square container was neatly wrapped with a bright red bow, keeping the sweet treats tucked safely inside. It matched the vibrant shades of Sumi's hair perfectly. Even the floral arrangement splashed with crimson colors, and sprinkled with with a touch of perfect white splotches.
He took a careful approach when scooping the bouquet from Sumi's shaky grasp. For a moment Akira studied the various petal shapes adorning such beautiful hues. His time spent towing away at cutting stems or choosing flower sizes for customers taught him how to understand color language. Especially when it came to organizing floral bundles.
Carnations, specifically deep shades, spoke an intense emotion from the gifter. The same could be said with roses. A flower of passion, beauty, love...
"I certainly didn't expect to be given such lovely, thoughtful gifts...that's for sure." He chuckled lightly, airing away the nervous tension obviously present from the younger girl. "I'll say though...you didn't have to give me so much, Sumi-chan, and yet..." A small step forward closed off the safe distance between the two. Akira cradled the flowers protectively in one arm, but the other found its purchase around the woman's smaller frame.
It's not the best hug, considering he rather not squish the flowers, but it was satisfactory for the boy. But to make up for a rather awkward gesture, he leaned close enough to place a small, chaste kiss on the other's cheek. Much better.
"...I have to thank you for showing me your true feelings."
