this might be the most ridiculous length charles has ever gone to when searching for other mutants. normally, when someone cannot be found, charles is content to let the issue rest - but this particular man seems to be evading him on purpose, and he doesn’t like that one bit. not to mention, he’s supposedly a witcher, and charles has never met a witcher in person before. there are too many loose ends and questions for charles to simply let this go.

so he finds himself in the dark corner a bar this particular evening, having put out a contract for the witcher to find. he’s unmistakable when he enters the bar and approaches charles’ table. “ you’re a hard man to find, you know. you certainly don’t make it easy on anyone who’s looking. ” 

    this is it -- possibly the biggest day of elsie’s career. getting her doctorate and the teaching position at the university are all well and good, but it’s this, being in the field, that she loves so much; that reminds her of the treasure seeking uncle that raised her. hands fall to her waist and stay there as she gazes up at the beautiful, looming temple. nobody’s set foot inside it in... at least a thousand years. she  &  her team are going to be the first, once their equipment’s prepped -- or they should be, but there’s someone marching himself right up towards the entrance.        “ excuse me, who are you exactly? hey -- HEY! don’t go in there! ”
