It was like that, but the warehouse was a smokey 70s pillow pad, Cassandra was a solid instrumental groove and Stacy was Jim James whisper singing patronizing cliche life lessons. - Jt (sorry for 2 sentences)

5.2 - A little yawny, a little droney, a few cringeworthy lyrical passages, but some fun Herbie-inspired keys & bass (outta nowhere on track 9) and the good American soul of Jim J. -Peck

4.7 - It’s hard to tell whether JJ is the guy at your front door trying to get you to join a cult, or if he’s the guy on the mountaintop warning you not to join, but this Steely Dan/Pink Floyd, white-guy-groovy mish mash was enough for me to need a thorough rinsing afterward. -brood

8.5 - A bright escape into the abyss of psychedelia. - Tj

8.2 - Creative outputs (visual, aural, culinary, dance, etc) can feel loose and organic while simultaneously be rich, layered, and intricate and James delivers making a campfire circle in the rotunda of the MOMA. - ty
